I have a maverick lariat with the 225/60/18s and the spare is a 155/70/17. Wanted to see if anyone has replaced their spare for a full sized 18 inch tire. I would like to do this at some point but want to see if one will fit. If it won’t I would like to know what ford considers their “full size” for the lariats with 18 inch wheels so I could at least put that on so I can drive more normal on the spare. Appreciate it.

Lariat first edition 225/60/R18 on the ground. Spare is 215/60/R17 for 6.5" rim. (Which may be the same rim on XL. Do not know but is same style and color as pics I have seen of XL. Spare is almost touching crash ripper teeth and has 3/4-7/8" air space between tread and hitch receiver. If you do not have hitch on yours there would be about 1/4" more room for spare. I would have to remove spare to check max diameter of spare that would fit. Also note that the OEM TIRES, Michelin's on mine are 8.5/32" tread but retail versions show to have 10/32" tread. So you might need to check your exact mounted tire diameter also to size your spare!
