My brother and I wanted a Maverick, saw many at the local car dealer online, got there and they said, oh, those are already ordered but we have a Velocity Blue XL right here that financing fell thru for the customer. Well, we went home with it. Got 1477mi on it now, still have a quarter tank to go and simply love it! Smooth as silk, bought some custom wheels for it, it has a moon roof. Plenty of room inside, super comfortable, averaging 520mi per tank! Love this truck! Love these Touren wheels, notice the hidden lug nuts! Gonna get an sprayed in bedliner next! Love this site! Thank you!

You are welcome. Do you know if those wheels come in silver? The hidden lug nuts is slick looking.
Not sure. I got them from Americas Tires in Hemet, CA
Peace

How old is your 12v battery? That sounds like several threads on the forum due to a bad 12v.

Original battery, bought truck in nov 21. I'ts happened 3x so far.

Could be but I hate to spend money chasing this down,, hopefully it has happened to someone else on here but for now, I'm buying a portable jump starter and I'll stick it in the glove box until I can figure this out.

I appreciate the reply MavStangVa..

Well, you got 4.5 yrs from the original battery, which is pretty much on the higher end lifespan of a 12V battery. Especially since it looks like you are in a warm climate from the pictures, and hot temps decreases the life.

This sounds like a case where replacing the battery is such a good idea, I'm not a good enough writer to even express in words just how good. I bet it will resolve your problems.

There really is no reason to wait. You got your money's worth out of this battery. You can go to O'Reilly or Autozone and have it tested for free if you want proof.

May have figured it out, somewhat.

Today I parked, went in the store came out and the dash lights came on but no start. I was getting ready to call for a jump but after trying to turn it on a few times, I waited a minute then tried it again, and BOOM, it started.

So now I"m thinking it has to do with the ignition possibly. I know for a fact though, that the battery was not and never was dead on the previous occasions that I got jump started.

Glad I didn't buy a battery, I guess the shop is next.

It's happened to many a hybrid owner. You may need to replace the battery cable (Ford should cover the cost for this) because the crimp job was terrible and the battery is not operating at full capacity.
You probably should look into replacing the battery. OEM battery only good for about 3 years, if that. Look for a same size AGM battery (H4). It's a much better battery. Walmart and Amazon have them at a good price. No modification to the battery well, just a simple swap out/in.
Here's a thread on battery install.
