Its just like the open fenderwell. Plus some wiring. Covered by a plastic plate.Question, what was in that space instead? I have an XL model but the hard drop in bedliner is covering the hole where the cubby goes and I have no idea whats underneath.
Thanks. Do you know if the area around the cutout has pre drilled holes for the cubby door if you were to install it later on?Its just like the open fenderwell. Plus some wiring. Covered by a plastic plate.
My buddy has the cubby, its like.. the same bolts far as I can see. the same ones that hold on the plastic plate.Thanks. Do you know if the area around the cutout has pre drilled holes for the cubby door if you were to install it later on?
Had similar scenario with FordPartsAmerica and the drop in bed liner. Told them to keep the order. Week later got a call saying they got it after special order it from ford and would be shipped out that day.Yeah. I just got this on my order:
I told them to keep my order for now. I'll check back in a couple months if it hasn't been delivered.
thank you! Do you remember what size they were? I wonder if you can get them at a Lowes or Home Depot?
When I order mine it was the same it took about 3 weeksYeah. I just got this on my order:

Correct but is a very well built cubby all plastic nothing to worry aboutSo I read in a post somewhere (can't recall) that the underside of the cubby on the driver side is exposed to the elements whereas the passenger side cubby is enclosed on the underside.... Doubt it will be a big issue but just thought you should be aware
Can you verify that there is no issue with the driver's side install and the exhaust being close to the bottom? Just don't want any melting or anything.Well I finally got the bed cubby in for my lx, but it will work for any of the maverick left or right side same part #, is a 20 min job if you can turn a bolt that’s all the skill level you need lol. The cubby came completely assembled with all the parts needed except for bolts you will need 2 extra bolts if you intend to used the existing ones. Directions unbolt cover bolt cubby

The Lariat models have the same cubby in the driver's side from the factory so I doubt it's an issue. If you're that concerned, spend ten bucks on some stick on heat shield and apply it to the cubby before installing it.Can you verify that there is no issue with the driver's side install and the exhaust being close to the bottom? Just don't want any melting or anything.
Is the driver's side one exposed and the passenger side one is enclosed/protected from underneath?
I want to put jumper cables on one side and some tools on the other side.
This is actually part of why I got excited when I ended up with an XL instead of ordering a lariat. It’s made me want to try to custom my way to as close to a lariat as possible the DIY way. I haven’t really done much to my cars in the last decade and upgrading the maverick has become my favorite hobbyThank you, this is making an XL with 360 more and more attractive. Can't wait for the aftermarket to come out with good headlight and tail solutions.
I feel like on the diagram I saw there was a panel on the drivers side to keep it from being exposed but maybe (probably?) I’m wrongSo I read in a post somewhere (can't recall) that the underside of the cubby on the driver side is exposed to the elements whereas the passenger side cubby is enclosed on the underside.... Doubt it will be a big issue but just thought you should be aware
The xl don’t come with one you can order a second one for the driver side on the xltIs this an extra one, or did your Mav not come with any cubby? My XLT only came with one, im wondering if I could order this and install it on the side without a cubby (driver's side).
