That's is not entirely true. I got my first Carvana offer on my 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium w 60k miles at $13,500 in November. I am selling to buy maverick. As of today my current offer is $16,237. I've renewed it twice and will continue doing so until my maverick is ready for pickup. Really depends on your make, model, year, mpg, condition, and features. When you sell to CARMAX you leave with a check. One thing to keep in mind with all of them is their first quote is their best, the offer goes down on following quotes.
Also keep in mind I paid $16,400 for it in 2017 after tax and titleThat's is not entirely true. I got my first Carvana offer on my 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium w 60k miles at $13,500 in November. Check the many stories here:In preparation for purchasing my truck, I’m trying to decide how to sell my current car. I could, of course, trade it at the dealer. However, they already gave me a low-ball offer. Since they don’t care if I walk, they have no incentive to give me any more on the trade.
I’m thinking about selling to Carvana, CarMax, or CarGuru once my truck arrives. I’ve never bought or sold from any of them. I was wondering if you all have had any experience with selling to these companies. The quotes I’ve received were around $3k-$4k more than what the Ford said they’d give me. What are your thoughts? Any advantages/disadvantages to selling this way? Any recommendations?
Awesome! Great to know!I sold a 2019 Honda CR-V to Carvana a few months ago. I got quotes from the usual suspects, and Carvana gave me the best offer. The process was very simple. The only hiccup was related to them picking up my vehicle. The guy showed up on schedule and we traded my title for a check. Surprisingly, he didn't do more than glance toward the vehicle. I would have thought he would have looked inside and under the hood, but he didn't. In any event, he took the keys and title and gave me my check. Then left without the car. I had to bug Carvana a couple of times to get them to come and collect their bloody car! Eventually, after a couple of days, it disappeared. I'd sell to them again.
I hadn’t thought about checking with the Mini dealer. The closest one to me is in Knoxville, about 108 miles away. It could be worth a drive out there - or at least a phone call.Bought from Ford, sold my MINI to the local MINI dealer. Much better than Kelly Blue Book listed mine for trade in.
Good idea! I always forget about Facebook Marketplace. That’s where I sold my motorcycle a few years ago.I sold my 2005 F150 Lariat on Facebook Marketplace for $8K. The Carmax offer was $5800. I got 30 inquiries in 8 hrs and had it sold within 24 hrs.
I sold my 2015 Honda Fit Ex with 43,800 miles on it to Carvana last October. Not sure if you live in a place where you pay sales tax on new car minus trade in like Texas. So just make sure you are getting enough when you sell to make up for the sales tax you'd otherwise save with trade in.
I wasn't in the market for anything new but on a whim, I checked the value of my old cars and was shocked. These crazy used car prices aren't going to last so I struck while the iron is hot.In preparation for purchasing my truck, I’m trying to decide how to sell my current car. Carvana will come and pick it up and hand you a check. No muss no fussThat's a no Brainer who ever will give you the most Money![]()
I got a quote from Carmax that was $1k more than what I paid for my truck two years prior. I walked in, walked out with a check two hours later, painless. In preparation for purchasing my truck, I’m trying to decide how to sell my current car. I could, of course, trade it at the dealer.
