New here as I recently ordered a Maverick that I'm sure is a looooong way out. I'm a city slicker type, normally walk everywhere or ride my bicycle or take public transportation but was intrigued by the Maverick, especially the bare bones XL trim as I liked the interior better and don't want or need frills. My only gripes were lack of power mirrors (solved with Co-pilot360), lack of power tailgate keyfob unlock (I'm sure will be solved with aftermarket solution soon like it has been for other Ford truck products) and lack of cruise control. I decided I'd be okay with the tailgate lock issue and cruise control situation but then was pretty happy to find this thread. Even though I'm pretty far out in terms of getting my Maverick I decided to look at car-part.com (salvage yard database) and was able to locate and purchase a really cheap 2020 Escape steering wheel in great condition with leather and cruise control. I just wanted to throw it out as a resource if anyone else is trying to source one and you're not finding what you're looking for on eBay.
I just found that site too yesterday. Have to reach out to a couple places that haven't responded when I've sent a message through the website.

I've purchased parts in the past for family members and never had luck with the direct car-part correspondence so I started going direct to the yards. Also, keep in mind that the are so many good salvage yards that choose not to be a part of that site so check local yards especially the pick yourself types as they can be pretty cheap.

Just got my new Maverick XL, love the truck but unhappy about the lack of Cruise Control, any clue as to how I might be able to get it, not interested in some aftermarket device that hasn't been tested yet (even by the maker).
Willing to pay to have it done if I could find out who, what, when and where.
Thanks to anyone who has a clue.

Non of the salvage yards around here had an escape that fit the guidelines. I was able to get in touch with one of the ones listed on that site and have a steering wheel on order. Now just to get the truck eventually. At least by that time, all of the tutorials and tinkering will be proven and I'll have an easy time getting things done.

It is a gamble. No idea if it correct.
I followed that link but when I try to order it, that part number does not seem to "fit" any 2022 Maverick, regardless of trim level. Respectfully, are you sure of the part number?

We're bending the rules here. Ford's not going to tell you an aftermarket thing is going to fit.

Sounds like this upgrade will get boiled down to the specific additional cruise control switch module and replacement clockspring component, along with Forscan programming, necessary to add CC to an XL.

Cruise control itself is only the switch and the forscan programming to get it working

So necessary wiring in the wheel is already in place? Would be nice since the switch module can be had for <$60. Local dealer price is probably <$100.

Yes, a switch or different wheel and this is plug and play

No doubt, and I really appreciate you sharing this info. I was trying to order the switch for the larriot stg wheel with factory CC, but that part number doesn't work.
