I don't understand. I didn't fully read this whole thread but my GF's XL arrived with fully working factory cruise. What am I missing here?

She must have an XLT because XL does NOT have cruise control.

I assure you it's an XL but it was somebody's ordered truck and they got impatient and bought something else. I found it for her and she bought it. It's possible that it was ordered that way but it's certainly an XL and NOT an XLT. We still had to wait for it to be delivered to the dealer by Ford along with 6 other new vehicles they were waiting for.

At least that's what it says (XL) on the tailgate. I'm trying to find the window sticker but seem to have misplaced it. I remember before tax it was $22K and change.

It also has blind spot monitoring and I was surprised it had that on a base model truck. We're absolutely delighted with her Maverick and couldn't be thrilled more with the value!

I just called her and she agreed with me that it has cruise but not adaptive cruise. The plot thickens. It's possible she thinks it has cruise but is mistaken because her truck she drove for 12 years before this Maverick didn't have cruise so she doesn't use it being a low tech female... LOL

She's a nurse and at work at the hospital and won't be home til this evening. You can bet I'll be looking when she gets home. I've done some googling and for sure the XL is reputed to NOT come with cruise.

Absolutely. I know pics are important when something just doesn't make sense. It will be dark when she gets home about 8pm but I'll post pics of the tailgate and steering wheel and I'll even try it to make sure it works on a short drive if it appears to have the controls. I'm very curious to know what really is going on myself.

Since it was ordered very early I wonder if it wasn't originally supposed to be an XLT and there was some kind of mixup at the factory. It may be a one of a kind. LOL

Interesting, the only place my XL is badged in on the fender in front of the front door. No XL badge on my tailgate.

Under the HVAC, the little cubby/tray that you throw your stuff, is that black or orange? XLT is orange, XL is black

Just happened that day they ran out of XL wheels so put on an XLT wheel to keep the line moving. Much like the guy who got the Bronco with leather rear seats.
