Engaging AWD on Maverick?

Anyone know how this is done. I can't see a switch or knob like I have on my Ranger.

It’s not 4WD but AWD. It stays in front wheel drive until it senses the wheels slipping then engages the AWD system.

It's All Wheel Drive not 4 Wheel Drive. You don't have the ability to turn it on or off. Happens automatically.

The AWD version has power in all 4 wheels. Doesn't have to be engaged. Not the same as 4WD.

It is All Wheel Drive (AWD) where the torque is shifted only when slip is detected. You will be able to change modes only.

The Maverick doesn't have 4WD. It is AWD. I am not super familiar with Fords AWD system but I assume it is primarily FWD like most AWD systems based until wheel slip is detected in the rear and then engages the AWD system.

I believe it engages automatically, but can be turned on with the off road drive modes that the FX4 package adds

No it won't, it's AWD in Canada also. The article you posted even states AWD and not 4WD.

No it won’t. Some people use 4WD and AWD interchangeably.

Its AWD not four wheel drive. You can't turn it on. Its always on, but deactivated until the front wheels slip.

AWD means good to go in winter weather. Do not go mud bogging or rock climbing. AWD is a typical soccer mom option.
