I paid 107 for my wheel, 40 for the cable, and 10 for forscan, other than that, it's just been a few nights of squishing numbers trying to figure this out, had a couple guys who helped me a ton from the FB pages.
Wow that is awesome and cheaper than I would expect. Was that through an authorized parts dealer or something like, ebay?

Like another poster said - I am hopeful to just be able to buy the switches and swap them out because I would rather not touch my airbag.

That being said - if I could get a leather wrapped wheel that would make me swap for sure.

FYI forscan is actually free. This is the recommended and best cable OBDLink EX FORScan OBD Adapter

People are going to think I am crazy, but is there a middle ground? Meaning, can a switch panel (like the one Rostra sells) mounted on the dash be used instead of replacing the wheel?

I've never pulled a steering wheel on anything with an air bag, and it is a little intimidating ...

They sell replacement steering wheel switches. In theory you should be able to replace the switch assembly on the right side (where cruise is located). I believe it is around $90 per assembly BUT I don't know if it will be a "plug and play" application meaning that you simply switch the two out and then use ForScan to enable.

I can't imagine the connections are different.

Not for programming, you need the extended license. You can get a trial, but why not support them for the ten bucks for 1 year license.
Don’t be cheap.

There's a procedure to follow but it's no big deal.

Anyone finding a price for a 2020+ Ford Escape wheel w/ cruise and leather? I can't find it, and my search results just pull up aftermarket accessories for the Escape wheel like this (on sale if anyone is interested):

Does that need rabies shots?

However, the adaptive cruise includes an extra radar component in the grill area.
Anyone know the cost on this ACC sensor?

Looks like all of the "cheap" steering wheels are gone on fleabay. The cheapest that i've found is around 225. Still, that puts it in the same ballpark as the rostra add on with a clean factory look.

I have finally got Cruise working on my XL. I'm not positive that you absolutely have to have both of the IPC inputs, however, I have working cruise, so I haven't dug into it too far. If anyone wants to challenge it, feel free to post the results!

Yeah I would happily pay $500 for one I know that comes directly from Ford, is leather wrapped, switches for CC, and I can safely swap my airbag.

Would knock out 2 of the biggest short comings of the Maverick for me and my total build price would be $24,075 and I avoided the garish orange and blue accents.

I've ordered the cable to enable all the GOAT modes in my Bronco and disable the seatbelt chime and obnoxious double horn honk if you walk away from the vehicle with the key fob in your pocket.

Tyvemattis, I've watched your posts in other forums with a lot of interest since I too purchased an XL. I didn't understand how much I would miss cruise and how frequently I found myself above the speed limit. So, thanks for all your work and willingness to post.

I guess my next step is to learn about ForScan and it's capabilities. Oh, I understand the basics of coding in certain capabilities, but not the ForScan unit itself. Anyway, your posts give me the confidence to begin this little trip and learning something new—even at my age (75).

The XL steering wheel is ok, I don't need leather, so swapping out the switches seem the best route for me. Can't wait until you, or someone, posts into about that.

Many Thanks!

You don't like the blue jean material with neon orange trim? LOL

Neither do any of the XLT owners but they will NEVER admit it.
