Hello everyone,

I had been using the SecuriAlert feature for a while, but now it is just gone from my FordPass app.
Don't know when this happened, just realized it because I haven't gotten notifications for a while.
I have the XLT and use an iPhone.

Does anyone have this issue as well?

Hello everyone,

I had been using the SecuriAlert feature for a while, but now it is just gone from my FordPass app.
Don't know when this happened, just realized it because I haven't gotten notifications for a while.
I have the XLT and use an iPhone.

Does anyone have this issue as well?
I am having this issue also. I also have the XLT. Mine quit working a couple of months ago. I called FordPass support and after some troubleshooting they told me it had to be escalated and they created a case. About 2-1/2 weeks later, they called me and said the issue was resolved, but that I had to take my vehicle to the dealer for a software update. I finally took my Maverick in this morning and after a couple of hours was told that it did not need a software update and that the could not find anything wrong. They said they reset a few modules in the truck and asked me to recheck my app. I deleted the vehicle from the FordPass app and then added it back - still not working. The dealer posted an issue on the Ford hotline and said they have to wait for a response, will contact me back when they get one (could be a day or two) and sent me home. I'll update this when I hear back.

In the vehicle section, in Safety and Security. Should be a "SecuriAlert" button next to the "Ford Insure" button but it's no longer there.
Oh ok, mine only shows the “ford insure” button.

For those who don't know what SecuriAlert is:

Despite many people across Europe staying at home amid the pandemic, vehicle crime remains a problem, and is even on the increase in some countries. 1 Car alarms can help to deter thieves. However, in cities where vehicles may be parked on the street overnight, owners may ignore the alarm, not realising it is from their car, or fail to hear it altogether. 2

Now Ford has made its smartphone-connected heightened security system, SecuriAlert (formerly known as Guard Mode), available to car owners for the first time.

Once activated, SecuriAlert sends a notification to the vehicle owner’s smartphone if it identifies any vehicle activity, including attempts to open doors or gain access with a key, providing peace of mind to customers when their cars are out of sight – or out of earshot.

Yah Fordpass has more issues than it has things work it seems. Mine doesn't have that menu along with DTE, Mileage, Oil life, and Tire pressures not working. Yet the lock, unlock, start and wifi hotspot stuff works in the app. They supposedly escalated to someone higher also haven't heard back yet though. The data uploads fine since they see it all in the backend and Ford.com shows tire pressures and mileage correctly.

Here is the update. Ford came back in their response to the dealer and suggested that I install the FordPass app on another phone thinking that it was my phone. Exact response was "With no TCU update avallable, and the secure alert notifications not working, it would be recommended to ensure that the customers FordPass app is fuly updated. If it is, then connect another phone to FordPass and test for operation, if the feature is present, then a customer phone or app issue would be suspected" They didn't say what to do if it wasn't there after doing this.

Installed the app on another phone with absolutely no change. The SecuriAlert button is still not there. BTW, I am using a brand new iPhone 13 with the latest iOS and the latest version of the FordPass app (version 3.35.1) I am now going to contact FordPass support and update my case, also awaiting a response from the dealer to see if they can do anything else. FordPass Support phone number is 800-336-0486. I suggest any Maverick owners that have the SecuriAlert button missing from the FordPass app call and let them know so we can perhaps get this on their radar.
