I've read several threads on different brand tonneau covers that turn out to be short when installed.
My question is those of you who reported that the cover didn't fit correctly, did you send the manufacture a email that their measurements are incorrect so they can make the correction for future orders?

I didn't like how short the Truxedo soft roll up cover was (which I believe is the same one as the "Ford" soft roll up). I went back and forth with the manufacturer for a while and they just told me "well that'S what ford approved" so I'm assuming they wont be making any chances anytime soon.

I returned the Truxedo cover and went with a Gator soft tri fold cover and have no issues with the fitment on that one.

Wow, I was just about to finalize my order for one. Is it not a sealed fit?

If it seals, it’s just barely. There’s just a huge gap in the front and back of the cover that there’s no need for. It just barely sits on the bulkhead and barely touches the tailgate. It could have easily been another 1”-1.5” longer and it would have been perfect.

Thanks for your reply and now I'm leaning towards the Gator cover vs the others. Unless by the time my Maverick arrives they get enough complaints to make changes.

Don't forget to install the foam seal that goes on the front of the box before the front rail gets installed. If it's missing contact the manufacturer.
I'm new to this and will be getting a soft trifold cover in the next couple months. What is the "foam seal"?

It's a piece of foam, that provides a seal, between the front rail and box.

The pictures of the TruxTruex pro X15 seems to be a good fit the guy didn't have any complaints with that model

The pictures of the Txuxedo pro X15 that were posted looked great and he had no complaints about the fit. So I guess it's hit or miss on which model you buy!

Maybe we should start a thread on tonneau covers that fit perfectly or which ones to avoid.

I just said the hell with it and bought the Ford Tri Fold that I took off the build to get it built. That Ford 15 ends tomorrow and I just wanted to get one on her truck. $559.00 minus $83.85 plus $25.00 state tax it came to $501.00 I guess I flat out wanted it now or at least soon and if there were issues just go back to my Ford Dealer or Ford Corp. anyone else put a tonneau cover from Ford on (the soft Tri-Fold for $559.00?) was it easy on and easy off And no cutting the sides to make it fit?

i bought through ford the soft rollup cover which has ford logo, is truxedo brand and yes it really should have been longer (holds out rain but not car wash soapy water) but at the time i was unable to get anywhere else in stock a few months ago & since ford had the 15% discount off the the $369 and also used my pass reward points making it very hard to beat.

I have a Lariat with Fords hard Trifold cover. It is about a quarter inch too short. Has three rubber seals. Only the end one barely seals on the top of the tailgate. The drivers side actually does not seal for several inches. Installed at factory. Dealer has no solution. Think the specs given to tonneau cover manufacturers is about an inch too short for length. All three seals on mine should sit down on top of tailgate. Only third one just barely seals. Bummer.
