I really wish Ford would have been clear and transparent about this, I’ve gotten zero communication about these issues from Ford and the dealer had no idea what was going on until they added it to their inventory.

On the plus side, it was great to finally see it in person and I’m loving the Cyber Orange!

I know the situation sucks, but Ford actually was never going to communicate with you because you don't technically own the vehicle yet. All of what you describe makes sense given how the system works (for Ford and everyone else). Hopefully your wait will not be much longer!

That said.. Man, I love Cyber Orange. Can't wait.

Relax. You aren't informed of recall because you don't have your vehicle. There is a stop sale, and cannot sell it until the recalls are performed. Once the vehicle comes in, then it goes through the PDI - pre-delivery inspection: This where the vehicle is inspected, transport blocks removed, dealer installed options installed, and finally flagged for recall / do not deliver.

To you, it is one car. Your car. To them, you are one of thousands. There are processes for this. It is getting fixed before you get it. What is there to complain about?

True, I’m glad it’ll be fixed and I know things happen in this complex process. No so much complaining, just would have been nice to know is all. I am very happy to have seen it in person now though! Looks like a nice little truck.

Unfortunately, no. They said only the service department can have the keys until it’s fixed. Hopefully soon though!
Not letting you sit in it is nothing but lazy.
I’m a salesman/ sales manager and know first hand that it takes two minutes to grab the key and be nice. There’s a reason car salesman have a bad reputation.
I’ve got my own coming in a few weeks. I’ve driven a couple and they seem like a lot of fun.

Man the spray in bedliner is really screwing ford and buyers over.
First only 3% of vehicles with it are being selected to be built and now they have to replace the fuel tanks in the trucks because someone drilled holes too deep while doing it.

Hi. Yesterday we went to pick up our maverick and it too was part of fuel tank recall. The dealership took it back into service where the tech inspected it and took photos. The sales manager took me back into service where I got to see my truck up on the lift. Tech took photos and sent to ford. Thankfully my Maverick was not one of the bad ones. They reassembled and released it to me. This all was about a 4ish hour ordeal.
Best of luck. Enjoy your maverick.

So close. . . Did they let you sit in it at least.
small price to pay (other than your 6 month wait)….try & relax….shouldn’t be more than a few more days until your driving your new truck. Know your dealer wants you in that Maverick just as bad as you want in it.

That sucks, i hope they fix those recalls for you super fast! I was told I was lucky on mine yesterday, the only one not affected by the recall with the spray in liner. Haven’t heard of the seatbelt one though? What is the recall with those or i should say what is the issue?
