  1. Maverick Fuel Tank Official Recall : 5,456 Units w/ Spray-In Bedliner Affected

I’m in the same boat, mine has been at the dealer since Dec 27th. Waited for the bolts to come in for the inspection, failed inspection. No news or ETA since.
  2. My Maverick Made It to the Dealer! But…

Turns out mine has holes in the gas tank. The dealer has no idea how long it would take for a new one to come in. So I’m placing a new order today.

Torque to yield bolts are very popular, especially in places where you never want the fastener to back out on its own. Instead of using thread lock you tighten the bolt a certain amount to stretch the threads. Once you take one of these bolts out they don’t have the ability to stretch again so...

I’m waiting on the same bolts and have been told that they’re backordered, please post how you make out if your dealer gets them!
  5. My Maverick Made It to the Dealer! But…

I agree, definitely worth waiting for! As of today my latest update is the parts needed are back ordered. Not sure how long the parts backorder is going to be, I’m considering placing a whole new order if it’s going to be months of waiting anyways. Hoping for a more concrete fix date soon.
  6. My Maverick Made It to the Dealer! But…

For real! Luckily I’m working from home right now and only need one vehicle, allowed me to sell the one the Maverick is replacing ahead of time. Made out pretty good on that at the peak of used car prices!
  7. My Maverick Made It to the Dealer! But…

AFAIK your price is locked in with your order. I have a signed sales agreement with my price as ordered so I don’t plan on paying anything different. If your dealer says otherwise it would mean they’re making an extra buck off of you since the amount they’re paying Ford is set at the time of order.
  8. My Maverick Made It to the Dealer! But…

Ah! Hope you get a build date soon! It’s pretty cool that they can build a whole truck in one day one it gets scheduled! It seems like the wait is usually pretty short ones it gets on the train, I’m sure they usually don’t get held up in the rail yard for so long.
  9. My Maverick Made It to the Dealer! But…

It’s nice to know that the inspection process is pretty quick! I’m really hoping they don’t find any holes, I can’t imagine it would be very quick for them to get a new tank shipped, but who knows? So far my dealer has told me that they’re waiting for some bolts to come in before they can...
  10. My Maverick Made It to the Dealer! But…

the seat belt issue seems fairly simple, just some oversized holes: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/recall-21c36-delivery-hold-stop-sale-2022-maverick-produced-oct-6-oct-20-2021-rear-seat-belt-anchor-thread-repair.6653/
  11. My Maverick Made It to the Dealer! But…

Unfortunately, no. They said only the service department can have the keys until it’s fixed. Hopefully soon though!
  12. My Maverick Made It to the Dealer! But…

True, I’m glad it’ll be fixed and I know things happen in this complex process. No so much complaining, just would have been nice to know is all. I am very happy to have seen it in person now though! Looks like a nice little truck.
  13. My Maverick Made It to the Dealer! But…

I was excited to order my EB XLT with AWD back in June, got an original delivery date of Nov 20 but it ended up sitting in the rail yard for over a month. Finally showed up today, but got hit with both the fuel tank check recall and the rear seat belt recall. Let’s see how long this takes! I...
