Depends on what you can't live without. I wanted the ACC since I freeway commute. Ford's is better than the ACC on my Honda Fit. It will bring me to a complete stop. The heated steering wheel, seats and mirrors were a big plus that I'm deciding a can't live without. I take the dog with me everywhere and the grandkids, so the leather seats are a big plus. (Got a hammock for the back seat when I have the dog, but the seats clean up nice when I take it out.) Spray in bed liner and rails are nice too. All in all, I think it's worth the extra cost.

However, if I were strictly utilitarian instead of my daily driver, I would have gone with the Tremor.

Lariat or loaded XLT. The Tremor has a twin-clutch rear-drive unit and a locking rear differential that requires a high-capacity transmission oil cooler to keep it from overheating. The Tremor can only tow 2000 pounds with the add-ons. I feel that Ford might be saying that the Tremor equipment is marginal. I want the Tremor but until it can haul 4000 pounds with Ford's blessing, I will try to resist the temptation. That is unless my wife takes over my, paid for, 2024 Lariat........ I do tow 2300 to 2800 lbs at times so I'm out. I hope you figure out which one works for you but I believe you will be pleasantly surprised with any Maverick.

So there you have it. Looks like there is a split decision between the XLT and the Lariat. It's all up to you now to decide what best fits your wants and needs. If I had to do it all over again, I may just cough up the extra $$ and get the Lariat just for the B&O sounds. But then, I'm not partial to the fake leather so maybe I wouldn't. Decisions decisions.

@Vineserf Hybrid or EcoBoost? The reason I ask is if EB, you can get the FX4 package, and kind of make a poor-mans Tremor, at least appearance wise. As far as cloth vs Active-X seats, the Active-X is sooooo much easier to keep clean, unless you never wear dirty pants/shorts. Even in the short 1-year/10K time I had my XLT, the seats started showing signs of staining. The Active-X seats in the Lariat/Tremor are a lot easier to wipe clean.

Having owned a 22 Lariat AWD and a 24 XLT, I don’t find the Lariat worth the cost difference. It’s the same vehicle with a little glitter on it. Rides no better, same drive train. XLT is just missing push button start. Even the soundshield windshield on the Lariat makes minimal difference. Both trims lack real sound deadening.

Finally! If my '23 Alto Blue XLT had push button start, I'd probably still have it! Loved that color.

Congratulations, Excellent choice. IMO you will have zero regrets and really like the truck.

Ordered my Lariat with no sunroof and no black appearance package, very happy with it.
I rather have it and not use most of the times that not having it and miss it all the time.
One thing I wish it had is the memory seats, that's one of those things.
