Fix it by fixin' it. That's why it comes with a warranty when we're all finally lucky enough to take possession. Weird stuff is going to happen.
We're ALL taking a gamble buying a first year model. How many of us have said at some point, "I'm never buying a first year model." Raise your hand...
How about boxer briefs lol
Yep. Quite a few of you out there.
We're all in this together. Put on your big girl panties (or your tightie whities, whatever floats your boat) and let's enjoy the community of Maverick ownership.
We're the ones who signed up for this, remember?
I also just received the same email from Carfax.Received this Carfax alert today. Will email my dealer today.

That's a bummer!I'm supposed to be picking up my Maverick this morning but there is a stop sale recall that was just released this morning. Evidently, some Mavericks have fuel tanks that need assessment. No idea what the issue is, specifically. Maybe @fordvideoguy can chime in or someone else with access to more information....
I find it a bit amusing, a bit frustrating also, to see the level of drama some people will have over a minor issue and the level of anger it creates to the manufacturer or the person in the factory manufacturing the item.Sometimes I wonder if some of you have ever had a car before.
Our 2015 Macan had over-torqued timing cover bolts. Randomly over-torqued, apparently, as Porsche could not so much as give a VIN or production date range. The remedy? Engine out, five-figure repair. To my knowledge they've yet to recall this, at least they hadn't by the time we sold our Macan early this year. The thing was built in Germany, so not a third world country. It cost twice what my Lariat Lux hybrid cost new.
This stuff happens. It happens to all companies, at all prices, and is basically unavoidable. The Maverick will almost certainly have future recalls like the rest of every car ever.
You might be amazed at the level of testing and money spent to get a vehicle to the point of job one nowadays. First year cars are a non issue.I'm surprised they are allowed to ship vehicles at all without completing safety testing. Why would they wait until after the vehicle is out for sale to start doing that? I guess this is why people in the industry say getting a new vehicle less than 6 months into production can be risky.
And yet there are already two Maverick recalls. Non-issue without a doubt. You might be amazed at the level of testing and money spent to get a vehicle to the point of job one nowadays. First year cars are a non issue.
