Got a couple more days before I take possession.
A question for those that have owned both a Tremor and a non Tremor Mav.

Under normal daily driving, especially in the twisties, the back roads and highways and byways.

Was there any noticeable handling differences ?

Having had (2) 2024 Lariat 2.0 EB's, the latest being a Tremor, the Tremor has different "normal" drive mode characteristics. The "normal" Tremor is more like the non-Tremor tow/haul or sport mode, it downshifts sooner when slowing down, rather than coasting for a longer time in a higher gear. My non-Tremor had the 4k tow package, so both had the higher (numerically) gear ratio.

I don't go drifting mine, but the Tremor feels as planted on the road, as far as exit ramps. One thing I do like about the Tremor is the slightly higher seating position, I feel that it's just a tad easier to get into/out of.

After putting 235 Wildpeak AT Trails on my 25 AWD hybrid I would say that the handling and steering feel is basically identical to my 2023 Tremor.

Tires made a big difference with the suspension feel as well but the Tremor is still noticeably softer and a more compliant ride.

I can’t really tell a difference with the half inch lift.

I hear ya but the ford data sheets say a one inch height difference. Did something change ?

It’s actually something like .86 inches and the new tires gave me around .3 inches of lift so I’m missing about it a half inch from the tremor and that’s just not a noticeable difference to me.

Also didn’t realize you ordered a Tremor! Especially with how much you like your current Mav!

Just curious, I have a 22 Hybrid and just replaced my tires and have a Speedometer difference of plus 3 mpg as compared to my gps reading. Did you have this experience after switching tires?
Thanks

It’s common, even tires with the same specs as OEM can throw it off, it did for me, by about 1.5mph.

Good day

When you change your tires and if you put the same size of tire on or a tire of a different size but has the same diameter as your original tires, all your reading...mpg and mph indicated on the truck will remain pretty much the same.

But, if you swap tires and the new tires are either a larger diameter or smaller diameter, it will be expected to change both your mpg and mph indicated on your truck instruments!

So, it would appear you installed a slightly smaller diameter tire thenxyour previous tire?

A smaller tire will rotate faster then a stock tire, tricking the truck into thinking it is going farther then it actually is. And also make it calculate a higher speed then you are actually travelling.

There may be settings you can change in order to rectify this discrepancy...possibly through the dash settings.

Cheers,

Andy

I actually have the same 225/65/17’s but went with Goodyear Endurance instead of the Continental Pro contact. There actually is a measurable diameter difference with the Goodyear’s as they have greater thread depth than the Continental. Just enough to change the number of revolutions per mile. I think 716 verses 711, or something like that. Anyway, I believe this can be adjusted in forscan but I am not wanting to go there.
Thanks for the comments

Ah, cheese and crackers...are we are going to have to read your self-introduction...again?

Looks like I will need to sit down for it, when it happens (Martha, get the kids off the street and hide them in the storm cellar...stranger danger!).

😉

Have a great day, and looking forward to seeing your new ride!

Have not used this on a Maverick but is has it, Engineering Test Mode diplayed on the dash. I made AFE canges on my F150 to get more accurate MTE in the fuel economy display.

Thanks, I do know about this, but what I read from other posts, this will only affect the MTE calc and not do any recalibration to the speedometer, apparently these are two separate systems.
thanks for your response

Damn! I’ve been traveling and missed this news. Sorry to hear about pepper and glad you’re alright. Mavericks are replaceable, as you know.

You’ll love the Tremor especially because you’re a fan of the EB. If I were to have an ecoboost it would always be a tremor.
