So weird question here but bear with me for a second. The Maverick is my first truck and I'm not used to an open bed. I'm used to a car or SUV where it can be locked up tight. Have you ever had your bed storage cubby cover/plate stolen?

I live in a rural area and don't have to worry about that but sometimes I head into the city for a costco run or a doctors appointment and there are people who will take anything thats not tied down, and that cubby doesn't lock so it can be a target for the right person. What they'd do with it, I don't know.

Again, stupid concern, I know. I'm just looking at the possibilities.

I would worry more about them stealing the whole truck, not just the cubby cover. Get a bed cover so they can't see whats in there to steal.

Just got my Maverick Saturday and was wondering if and for what people used it for.
Anything that will fit that space...
Anything that you don't care if it freezes.. (Here in Wisconsin).

On "Blu"..
I left the "Left-side" cover in place and added a power outlet. (12V and USB).

I bought the Cubby for the Right-side, to store my Tie-downs for the bed.. (Bunge and rope with a pair of small ratchet straps).

I agree… rigid cover (roll or fold) if you live in a higher risk area.

Haha yea pretty much anything that fits that won't freeze, I'd have to agree with that! Here in upstate NY we have similar conditions. I never thought about getting another one for the driver's side but now I'm thinking maybe I'll get one and throw my trailer hitch ball mount in there.
