I recently sat in the 6th Gen Ranger... not sure what funny math folks are using, but that Ranger was roomier in the front seats and the back seats than my maverick. The 5th (Global) and 5.5 (US) Gen Rangers were tighter, but the 6th Gen Ranger grew a few inches for interior space. And it shows.

The Ranger Raptor should be my only reason to trade in my Maverick Lariat Tremor

Actually I've been thinking of trading my 2023 Bronco Sport Badlands and my 2024 Maverick Lariat Tremor for a Ranger Raptor 🤔 but... I don't need to sign debt right now
I was curious myself so I decided to drive a ranger raptor and in my honest opinion, I was not impressed. Yeah, it had cooler features than what my tremor does. But as terms of functionality of the truck and usability, I think you're just paying for a name and features that are mostly not going to be used Just so you can pull into the parking lot and be that guy... Don't get me wrong. I think the raptor is a great truck And if I had unlimited funds, I'd definitely add one to the stable just because ,but in terms of the two trucks I would definitely take my tremor all day, ten times again

If I had unlimited funds, I'd definitely add a F150 Raptor R and a Bronco Raptor to my garage!

I hope you enjoy your new Ranger. I own both vehicles a 23 Maverick Tremor and a 25 Ranger XLT. Both have pros and cons depending on the individuals needs. Both vehicles perform well. I said it before on this forum I like each vehicle but I favor the Ranger. You would not think this but both vehicle get the same mileage under my foot. I guess I might see you on the Ranger G6 forum. (Con) The Ranger doesn't fit in my garage.

If we're talking unlimited funds why not a F250 Hennessey VelociRaptor 1200 🤷‍♂️🤣

I just picked up a Ranger a week ago. The 6th gen is wider for sure. Interior room feels good and much improved over the 5th gen. No longer feels like it's hugging you from every corner of the cab.

F-150 Raptor R for sure over 700 Horsepower!!
The real question is, how much would we have to cut out of our mavericks To make the predator fit

Here's my take on the Maverick vs. Ranger. '23 2.0/4K tow Maverick XLT owner for over two and a half years. Loved my Mav. Switched to a '25 Ranger XL with the 2.3 dual port engine a few months ago. I was worried I'd get pretty lousy gas milage but I needed more towing capacity (ranger has 7,500 vs. 4,000 with the Mav). To my surprise the Ranger is getting better gas milage by a couple MPG towing my 3,200 pound camper than the Maverick got and no squat (why I traded). Not towing, I just drove 360 miles through NY and eastern PA at 65-75mph and got 27.2 MPG for the trip. About the same as with my '23 2.0/4K tow Maverick. Thought I'd miss the Maverick at first but I don't. Only thing my Ranger doesn't have is the heated seats/steering wheel. Other than that it's got fogs, sync4, bigger display, bigger bed, better 360, 7.5K towing, 4x4, and a stick not a knob. There might be less interior room but it's not noticeable at all. All around better for my use. Still fits in the garage and it was only $1,200 more than I paid for the Mav three years ago. Side note, my wife likes the Ranger better. Says it rides better, especially over bumps.

Lariat has more seat room than the XLT that's got to be The "Lariat placebo" effect.
They are Identical seats with different covers. That's it
Does the lariat have more driver side seat adjustments than the XLT?
We initially looked at the Maverick for me (a '24, iirc), and the left leg room was disqualifying.

She was not a competent salesgirl, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was something she hadn't shown me, or if the seat was obstructed in the track, or . . .

We got the '25 Maverick for my wife, not me. It was a "what the . . ." moment when I was able to extend my leg (not enough for long distance driving without a bit of additional thigh support, but plenty for in-town).

The difference, whatever caused it, was a surprise, not part why we ordered the Lariat.

If don't, then Standard Lariat: Features an 8-way power driver's seat with power lumbar support. This adds the ability to electronically fine-tune the angle of the seat cushion base (tilting) and customize lower back support via the dedicated power lumbar control.
the angle of the seat base isn't part of the eight.

There's forward/back, up/down, lumbar in/out, and seat back forward/back.

Now the old ford six way had separate up/down for the front and back of the seat (both were operated if you used the joystick control, but they could also operate separately).

Angling the front up and the back down is how taller drivers (i.e., me!) take up the slack in our leg to support our thighs.

the eight way on the F-150 XLT could rock the entire seat assembly back, which was inadequate. You had to go up the line from there to get the 10 way to get dual up/down (I forget whether it was Lariat or KR that it starts at--and it's only for the driver; passenger gets 8 way!).

If the Maverick could have come with the old six-way, I probably would have bought one for myself. (although she probably would have taken it from me almost immediately!  ).

Apparently at least the very top of the line RAM 1500 (Tungsten), has 24 way seats, and even the Longhorn has 12 way. (of course, you could by a matched pair of eco boost and hybrid Lariat Mavericks for what a Tungsten costs!.)
