Wife upstages me

Proud owner of my second maverick, a 2025 hybrid AWD XLT had it a few months and love it. Wife loves it better than her escape hybrid. We are picking up her new Lariat Hybrid AWD with sliding rear window and moonroof Monday. Tried to give her my Maverick since it’s broke in and me get the new lariat but no she won’t do it. Both are ruby red so I may switch her and not tell her. Also I may need a cheap apartment to move in or a tent for my Maverick.

The moonroof is a dead giveaway, if all of the other interior differences don't clue her in.
Of course you could "accidently" mistake her truck for yours occasionally...
Maybe she'll prefer the cloth seats and then you won't risk living in a tent...

I pick up my 2nd Maverick hybrid Monday...I have a 24 hybrid Lariat in Chili Red....getting a 26 Lariat in Space White

Yeah, I've worked as an editor for over 30 years. They keep predicting rain here and it keeps not falling in my neighborhood.

If so, that's another benefit of the decal vs actual sunroof approach...

If he secretly tries to swap his crummy old XLT with her awesome fully loaded brand new Lariat (with the sliding power rear window no less), I don't think he needs to know what the difference between "Lariat" and "Laramie" is. Once she finds out about the bait and switch, I think she would quickly show him what a "noose" is.

A Laramie is a city in Wyoming and a Lariat is a rope used by cowboys to temporarily catch various quadrupeds.
A Laramie is also a trim level of some Ram pickups, where the Lariat is a Ford Maverick trim.
Interesting that both are pick up trucks, capable of carrying re.. anything you want up to their GVWR that can fit in the bed..

Lariat is a trim level on Ford pickups not just Mavericks
