Meet Grey Ghost Jr. We call her G.G. I drove a grey '99 GMC Safari 1500 Classic new in '99 and drove it for 26 trouble-free years and put 296K miles on it. We called her the Grey Ghost. When it finally went to that big truck stop in the sky, I looked at and drove every small pick up on the market. No longer needed a full-sized truck. When I found the Maverick, the search was over.

At age 18, in 1970, I bought a new Maverick and loved that car. When I drove the (then) new '25 Maverick Lariat hybrid, it was like meeting the progeny of that '70 sweetheart. She's the same color as the original GMC Grey Ghost. Had to have her. 7K miles later, I'm so glad I went for it. G.G. Jr. will be with me until the party's over!

MY 22 MAVERICK IS "PAUL" named after Paul McCartney. ha ha ha My first band.

Strange as it may sound, mine is named "Bellville." Why? the last five numbers of the VIN are the same as the ZIP Code of a small town in Michigan named Bellville. Hey, it made sense to me! (Equipped w/ Mabett mud flaps, cubby phone holder, rear fender opening cover, and a bunch of other stuff.)
