I didn't order them, I painted the stock ones. Process listed in original post, it was pretty easy.Where did you order those? I'm googling around, hoping to get black Ford emblems for front and rear.

Oh I was talking about the frame for the rear emblem, I did order one but I returned it, I ended up painting the rear and front emblems too.Oh, well it says already on order so it confused me.
Because it IS cheap and garish... chrome plated plastic...I can’t speak for others but I usually just don’t like it on modern vehicles, it looks cheap/garish to me.
So true black molded plastic is so much higher classBecause it IS cheap and garish... chrome plated plastic...
With Shadow Black and the Black Appearance Package, better black plastic than fake chromeBecause it IS cheap and garish... chrome plated plastic...
Would have but this part actually seems to be metal and not plastic, not sure what zero would do to it.Could this be done with ZEP to remove the chrome? It seems to me that it might be easier than painting.
Really? I'm nearly certain the ones on my XLT are plastic.Would have but this part actually seems to be metal and not plastic, not sure what zero would do to it.
Yeah, or it’s double shot plastic, but the chrome piece is chrome all the way through the back and it seemed hard and heavy like metal.Really? I'm nearly certain the ones on my XLT are plastic.
Oh, OK. That makes sense. I was assuming that it was all one piece rather than metal molded into plastic. Thanks for the info! Definitely not a good idea to use ZEP in that case.Yeah, or it’s double shot plastic, but the chrome piece is chrome all the way through the back and it seemed hard and heavy like metal.
Zap also ruined the water seal on one of my tail lights so do with that info what you will.Oh, OK. That makes sense. I was assuming that it was all one piece rather than metal molded into plastic. Thanks for the info! Definitely not a good idea to use ZEP in that case.
Sad story. It was an absolute tragedy and I was forced to buy some fancy form lighting tail lights which are coming in the mail Thursday and I am not excited at all.
