I always use "L" keeps regen at max. Only time I turn it off is when the battery is full and the engine revs instead of the regen on the batteryI don’t. Eco mode all day. I don’t know the proper time to use “L.”

Gpt5.5 at your service.WOW! Nicely written!
Lol, what's with the >Gpt5.5 at your service.
Nah, I'm comfortable with my manhood and I don't have anything that I need to over compensate for. I say smarten up and get the Hybrid, the upcharge to the Ecoboost is small and the gas mileage savings are significant. I've never been one to care what other people think about things like what car I drive or clothes I wear, etc.Man up and get an ecoboost!
Who cares about gas prices
What's the money you make for!
Gee, my friends say “You picked a GREAT time to buy a hybrid!” (Dec. 2025)Nah, I'm comfortable with my manhood and I don't have anything that I need to over compensate for. I have some big truck friends who like make comments like "how's your baby truck" or "why don't you buy a real truck". One friend of mine said "I would never be caught dead in a Maverick". I usually reply with "Are you really that insecure?" Then they usually start stuttering because they don't know how to respond to that.

I bought the Maverick because the Escape was so great. And I like the Maverick almost as much, but the Escape Hybrid instrument cluster/gages are better overall and I find the vehicle more refined. They both are quite similar, so I am splitting hairs. I also worked for Ford before I retired and the Escape was one of my programs. The escape or your maverick!?!?!
My friends are definitely the type that like to bust b*lls. And I'm not going to lie, some of them are very superficial and judgmental. But I've known most of them for over 30 years and one thing I can say is we're always all there for each other in good times and bad which is the best thing you can ask for in a good friend.Gee, my friends say “You picked a GREAT time to buy a hybrid!” (Dec. 2025)
Living in Ohio I think you'll miss the AWD in the Winter!!I currently have a 24 Eco AWD
This coming Friday I’m going to a 25 hybrid fwd
I think it will be better for what I use my Maverick for
plus got a great deal on it
Do you really think? I feel like proper throttle control and good tires you would be fine? no?Living in Ohio I think you'll miss the AWD in the Winter!!
Yeah the hybrid honestly sounds perfect for your use caseHybrid Hybrid Hybrid. I get consistently over 42 mpg. I don't tow anything, and if it snows I stay home. So no need for 4K tow or AWD. Love the simplicity and the feel of the transmission. Super smooth. I have an ARE Cap to haul my dogs (no hair in the cab). Grandkids love riding in the back seat. Plenty of room. I have a Ram 1500 with an 8' bed to do dump runs and haul dirt/mulch. Other wise the Maverick does 95% of the trips to the nursery or hardware store. I may give up the ram. We took it on a 500 mile+ road trip around the Washington Olympic peninsula. Got around 48 MPG that trip. Plenty of room to haul luggage, etc plush any treasures we run across. Really cannot be happier, and Did I say I get over 42 MPG? That gives me a 570 + mile range. That makes me a stranger at the corner gas station. I remember the old days when that kind of milage ment a little under powered Econo Box. This is anything but that!
I agree the Eco Boost Maverick is fun to drive!!I would definitely consider the hybrid now that it has the 4K tow package available. But, the fun-to-drive quotient has always been important to me, and I find the Ecoboost considerably more fun to drive. So, where the Ecoboost was a no-brainer for 2024, it would be a more difficult decision if I were to buy a new one.

Dam working on the car that you own is kinda cool lol. How much did the Escape Hybrid cost? I have heard/seen people swap the cluster over since it does have a better overall feel; But with that in mind I am curios to know how much was the escape when you bought it? Since Afterall the maverick was meant to be a cost effective vehicle.I bought the Maverick because the Escape was so great.
