Having a dealer is like having a neighbor. Good ones can make life enjoyable, bad ones can be irritating as hell.

True. But, you can make a difference too.Having a dealer is like having a neighbor. Good ones can make life enjoyable, bad ones can be irritating as hell.
Leftover?! Times have changed. Back in '22 there wasn't a Mav to test drive so I tested a hybrid Escape. Ordered, got canceled to a '23 then upgraded to a Lariat which I totaled. When I traded in the XLT I got $3k more than I paid for it from the dealer. Now have a '24, very happy. When dealing with a dealer I start off in "landlord mode": I'm a chump or an asshole. But if they are good to me I'm a good customer. I'm retired too, planning on having my Mav for a long time.I bought my 24 xlt hybrid as a left over when the 25's just came out. Went with a 24 because it had knobs and dials for radio and climate. That was just over a year ago. I have retired so no more commute for me, just short trips around the town hauling grandkids and the dogs around. So I just have a little over 3K miles! Not even broke in!
Same here, and I don't even have a Maverick (yet)! You guys are making me feel inspired. Only 14 months on my '25 and the comments make me feel optimistic about "Fenway."
I learned the hard way that it's best, if at all possible, to wait until the midcycle refresh to buy a Ford.I decided the 10G was worth the inevitable problems I would have owning a first year ford
Good to know. I've been watching the second-hand market and have gotten alerts for ones that have been close but not what I want. I was close to compromising and buying but figured I'm just being impatient and fortunately am in no rush to purchase.Only regret is that I didn't got the truck spec as I wanted
What made you go for the Ranger? I considered it as well. Namely because the 2.7L V6 is now an option. But I don't think it'd be substantially different enough for me to replace my current Nissan Frontier with it, other than having more power.I don't. Traded it in two weeks ago for a Ranger but got to park next to it today before my first oil change.

Wish I could say the same for my last two Ford trucks, and here I am looking for another! It’s had its share of issues, but never left me stranded to date.
I''ve got a 2023 XLT that has 62000 miles on it. What are the symptoms that make you think the CV axles are needing a replacement soon?I can tell my CV axles are going to need replacement soon,
Towing capacity. While the Maverick w/4K tow towed our latest camper, It was at maximum for the hitch weight and it had too much squat. Chose the Ranger with the 2.3 engine and 7.5K tow package as I still wanted better gas milage and more towing capacity. '25/'26 Rangers have the newer 2.3 dual port Mustang engines. Plenty of power. No need to go with the 6 cyl. Haven't hit 1,000 miles yet but so far I'm getting about the same MPG with the Ranger I got with the Maverick around town. What made you go for the Ranger? Oh you will know when it's time to replace them. While accelerating up a freeway ramp, you will notice a shimmy. Your legs will be going back and forth. If you ease up on the gas the shimmy will stop. If you get back on the gas it will start up again. It will only get worse if you don't have it fixed.I''ve got a 2023 XLT that has 62000 miles on it.
