I like Maxina. I have several of their products. But this is one absolutely useless part that serves no practical purpose. And as KenR said above, changing air flow, and I will add, holding additional heat in the engine bay, is not a good thing.

There's no practical purpose to an engine cover either, but many people here on the forums have bought them. The typical engine bay air movement pattern is through the radiator, and out the bottom below the firewall and past the turbo and PTU, so it's unlikely this will increase engine bay heat to an appreciable degree.

Awesome! I lined my fender cavities with Ford OEM sound insulators from the Bronco Sport and Escape. These will be the perfect finishing touch. Keep innovating Maxzina! There is always going to be someone screaming about overheating issues when it comes to engine bay cosmetic covers. Engines are water cooled, not air cooled. I'm not sure how people don't understand that. Not only that but they are designed to run at a specific temperature. Running cooler doesn't equate to running better.

Changing air flow under the hood may cause over heating issues!

What you said is also very reasonable! We have a driving experience because the previous test was conducted in winter and this issue has not occurred yet.

First thing i thought of was it could keep the leaves from falling in the abyss in those parts. It's a pain cleaning those out. I'm assuming you don't have that problem.

Part numbers M1PZ16E132A and M1PZ16E133A?

Were you able to just slot them in from the engine bay?

I ordered a set mostly on impulse and because I've been a little bored lately and always looking for an easy project and excuse to work on my Maverick.
Then I woke up this morning and second guessed myself. Do I ever go to car shows to show off the engine? Am I ever calling neighbors over to see how great the engine bay looks? No. Have I been able to get by without having these covers to this point? Yes. Are they going to improve performance? No. Are they a good value for the price? Maybe, maybe not.
So I cancelled the order. I'm not knocking anyone who purchases these covers, and I'm sure they will look good. If you get satisfaction and it pleases you then by all means install them. I just decided I need to draw a line somewhere and start only installing products that are more practical for my ever shrinking dollar.

Yes, those are the ones. I think I ended up buying four of each. Some I was able to slot in from the top side, others I inserted through the wheel well buy taking the liner loose.

Did you notice any appreciable noise reduction if that was your goal? Or did you install them to give the fenders a less hollow feel about them?
