And at $63.50 was a bargain at twice the price! Price included FedEx delivery. Bought a 2026 Larat hybrid and really like it. In my 85 years, I’ve had at least 200 cars including hot rods and customs.
Why would you make this post without including where you purchased it from? Bizzare!

Just yesterday I perused the electronic version of the manual for my new 2025 XLT Hybrid AWD for the first time. I'd guess half of it is irrelevant, as it pertains to the non-hybrid 2.0L engine or optional equipment or Trim levels that I don't have.
It would be great if Ford (and other mfgs too) could use AI or whatever to create personalized customer manuals that contain only info relevant to my specific VIN.

Yep, that's way I gladly pay my local mechanic $72 to do the oil changes, check everything under the hood, brakes, tires etc. and not have to mess with any of it, not to mention my old worn out body refuses to crawl under there to deal with it all.

The manufacturers COULD do that for a fee of course. Do you really think they would print, bind, and supply a custom manual for free? I see a new line item on the window sticker. Custom users manual $500.00 🤣

I am a retired technical writer (among other things). It really would not be a huge technical undertaking for them to produce custom manuals, at least in PDF format. They probably do this already: Each function/feature/option is written as a separate module or section of the manual, by multiple authors. I guarantee more than one person works on a 520 page manual. On anything.

But rather than take the time or these days use AI to select the sections that pertain to each vehicle, they are lazy and put it ALL into one manual.

But yeah, they would charge an arm and a leg, unless some marketing genius figures out a way to sell it as a competitive advantage.

My old worn out body still wants to do it myself! This could be my last oil change but I only need to do it once a year and today is perfect with temps in the low 70’s!!

Maybe I am getting too old for this? I don’t remember the drain plug being so
hard to remove! Anyway, I got it out and the oil is draining now. LOL

For me the biggest pain in the azz, is removing and replacing the splash shield and it's 15 screws.

For mine all I have to do is remove 8 torq screws and 2 13mm bolts so I can get to the oil filter which I just replaced a few minutes ago.

What was Ford thinking, with 15 screws?

The last 3 or 4 vehicles I've owned had only 5 or 6 bolts to remove the steel skid plate.
