I bought a new 2025 Maverick XLT EB in March 2025. I also ordered a mess of WeatherTech accessories that same day. One of the accessories was a set of WeatherTech FloorLiners for the front and back. I recommend them and would buy them again.

I value all of the criteria you mention and more. WeatherTech provides a perfect FloorLiner for my requirements.

If Michelin can make an even better one, then I’d take a look at them. I can’t think of anything I’d change on the ones I have though.

We understand — there are already many great products out there.

When designing our mats, we studied top-quality options on the market and then focused on taking materials and functionality even further.

Inspired by Michelin tire tread design, our mats feature liquid diversion channels that help direct water to both sides, while an enhanced driver-side anti-slip zone helps lock your heel in place for a safer, slip-free driving experience, even in rain or mud.

The goal is simple: combine practicality with the same precision, safety and reasonable price you expect from Michelin.

I would think what's most important is more than one option. To start it would be fit. Which becomes the appearance. Then durability comes in for the long haul.

My factory Ford rubber floor mat set was perfect.
It even says Maverick. I’d not buy a set that said Michelin because I run different makes of tires.
Currently I’m happy with my
Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3‘s

I’ve seen the Weather tech’s, also perfection.

Copy Weather Tech’s, lots of Michelin only drivers out there.

You forgot coverage along with fitment. That is to priority for me when selecting floor mats. Then durability, followed by appearance and durability. Thickness never comes to mind, because a quality ( durability) thin matt will outlast a cheap thick mat!

My priorities would be fitment, appearance, and durability in that order. I will not buy anything that I do not like the look of. Durability would be next and it may not be evident at time of purchase, thus relying on reviews of others who have purchased prior.

I weigh all of these, then make a decision.

Finally, someone mentioned material quality. We consider it's very important that it's free of harsh chemicals and fully recyclable. But not many people mentioning this.
I just said must be of high quality. I define high quality as including these properties.

For me, the order is fit, durability, appearance.

And specifically on the appearance, I would be impressed with a set that retains it's good looks even after being in the vehicle and being cleaned. My experience says that appearance can start out good but go down quickly with even light use.

Fit mainly but durability and appearance important. Don’t care about thickness as long as it’s durable.

I own WeatherTech. Fitment is off the utmost importance. I also like the firmness and how the side walls prevent things from escaping..

Alright TreadAuto… I see what you’re doing...
Slide into the Maverick forum like it’s a Cars & Coffee meet and casually ask what we want… respect.

But let me answer this the only honest way a Maverick owner can:

If my coffee tips over on a Monday morning, I need a floor mat that handles it like it’s survived a CAT4 in Florida.

So here’s the real priority list:

  1. Fitment (non-negotiable)
If it doesn’t fit like factory, it’s already annoying. No one wants that one corner doing the wave every time you get in.
  2. Anti-slip
If the mat moves more than my weekend plans, it’s a problem.
  3. Durability
KIDS, sand, KIDS, groceries, KIDS, random Home Depot runs and did I mention KIDS? These trucks don’t live easy lives.
  4. Easy to clean
I want to hit it with a hose and be done in 30 seconds. No spa day for floor mats.
  5. Appearance
We don’t need runway fashion… just don’t make it look like a 2003 rental car.

I think everything in your survey is equally important, but you left something out. You forgot affordability. I’ve had weather tech floor mats in about six cars. They make a quality product, but their prices have really shot up over the years. For me there needs to be a balance between all of your survey points and cost. My last 3 Fords have come with the Ford version of the all weather floor mats and I know that there are better looking mats and mats that offer more coverage, but these will do. I think that this is personal choice also. Some people are going for a look or style. Some people are working or hunting in some nasty muddy places and really need protection. I think that everyone wants durability.

Fitness after 6 months is what I look for. My Tuxmat lost fitness on the side walls after about a year. I would never buy products with BOLD advertising THEIR name on the product, like mud flaps or floor mats. I do keep my floor mats black and shiny with soap and water only.

Porsche Cayman has Weather Tech and are excellent, but I will be the first to say I think they are way, way overpriced...they have some up to $230+, not for me anymore. Not worth the extra $100 over other good mats.

I will be looking for replacement mats for Maverick but looking for ONLY THE FRONT. Many sellers on Amazon only sell all 4 floor mats. My rear seats have been used once in 4 years.

Hi everyone,

We’re TreadAuto, an official licensee of Michelin, and we’re excited to join the Maverick community! If you haven’t seen our previous thread yet, here's the link:

Thread 1: Guess Who’s Here, Michelin Truck Bed Mat!

Now, we’d love to run a quick survey:

When choosing floor mats, what matters most to you?
  • Durability
  • Fitment
  • Appearance
  • Anti-Slip performance
  • Thickness
Or something else?

We’re currently working on developing new Michelin floor mats, and your feedback may directly influence the direction of future Michelin floor mats designs.
If you have any features or ideas you’d like to see in Michelin floor mats, feel free to share them below.

🎁 To appreciate your participation, We’ll randomly pick one participant from the replies to receive a truck bed mat/tailgate mat as a gift! If we picked you and you have already bought one, we will make it free for you!

⏰ Deadline: April 6, 12:00 PM (PDT)

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks again for being part of the community!
