Coverage, I need to be able to keep sand, salt, and water from soaking into my floor.
Ease of removal, when the mat is full of sand, salt, and water I want to be able to dump it out without spilling it on my floor or seat.

I bought a set of Weather Tech floor liners as the winter was getting here a few months ago. I had experience with them with other cars I have owned. I love the fact they fit so well and are very durable and that is what I find the most important. I a very close second is anti-slip features. I will say that if Michelin had something like the floor liners or floor mats that Weather Tech has in that price area I would consider getting them for sure.

Hi everyone,

We’re TreadAuto, an official licensee of Michelin, and we’re excited to join the Maverick community! If you haven’t seen our previous thread yet, here's the link:

Thread 1: Guess Who’s Here, Michelin Truck Bed Mat!

Now, we’d love to run a quick survey:

When choosing floor mats, what matters most to you?
  • Durability
  • Fitment
  • Appearance
  • Anti-Slip performance
  • Thickness
Or something else?

We’re currently working on developing new Michelin floor mats, and your feedback may directly influence the direction of future Michelin floor mats designs.
If you have any features or ideas you’d like to see in Michelin floor mats, feel free to share them below.

🎁 To appreciate your participation, We’ll randomly pick one participant from the replies to receive a truck bed mat/tailgate mat as a gift! If we picked you and you have already bought one, we will make it free for you!

⏰ Deadline: April 6, 12:00 PM (PDT)

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks again for being part of the community!

Im on construction sites throughout the week so durability/quality and full coverage that doesnt slip around are important to protecting from the dirt/concrete/mud and various other debris. Would love a set of quality mats!

Fit - Form - Function I expect the mats to fit perfectly, stiff enough to handle everyday use and captures it all whether that be sand from the beach, mud from the job site or the 44 oz polar pop I spilt while backing out of the c-store.

Non-slip that stays in place and pulls out with ease and form that keeps its shape without the edges peeling and folding after I blast them at the carwash weekly.

They need to keep their color without fading and something that my friends notice and ask me where they can get theirs. I like the logo especially when a company engineers a quality product that I’ll be proud to install and show off. Anyone can mass produce just about any product but few can take their design to the next level I believe these will exceed most expectations…

That they don't move around, needing adjustment, and that they have good coverage. I think mine are the Huskey. I'm perfectly happy with them. I just have front mats because the back is a rear-seat-delete.

#1 waterproof... if they don't keep globs of gritty slush off my carpet, what is the point.
#2 fit and OEM look, as others say if it fits right it won't slip.

I haven't managed to wear out mats before so unsure if I naturally gravitate to durable ones, or that the market has made them sufficiently durable, just don't try cheaping out.

Insulation, both thermal and acoustic would be a welcome property, a little less road noise, a little less cold feet in winter.

Fitment and coverage are very important to me. Look at the Tuxmats floomats they're a top tier floor mat option. If you can improve on that product then you'll be a default choice for many people.

Durability, fitment and anti slip. Easy to clean, after use and when cleaned they should look good as new.

In order of importance
1. Full coverage figment like WeatherTech
2. Must look good and of high quality. Matt black, not a shiny wet look.
3. Must clean easily
4. $$ not $$$$

Coverage! Needs to go up far enough to totally cover the dead pedal, and BMS fuse box. After that, material quality.

Got a set of weather tech knock offs on Amazon for like $60. They are awesome, fit perfect and wipe off easily.

Finally, someone mentioned material quality. We consider it's very important that it's free of harsh chemicals and fully recyclable. But not many people mentioning this.

Normally a survey has a place to vote, so maybe I'm missing something.

I recently bought floor mats and a bed mat. For the floor mats the fitment was the most important thing. The ones I got aren't very thick but I'm sure they will never wear out, and they aren't going to be subject to abuse like a bed mat would. None of the other criterion really mattered to me. This assumes we are talking about all-weather mats.

For the bed mat, choosing from your list, I would say anti-slip performance mattered the most, followed closely by thickness. I'm relating thickness to the material. I wanted a rubber material not one of the more plastic type materials. The material of my floor mats would not be acceptable for my bed mat. The other criterion were not nearly as important.
You're right, a poll will make this a lot clearer and easier. But there's no details behind the poll data, we need to select one owner in the comment area in the end. But we hear your sugesstion and will consider it next time.
