Hello everyone,

I just got my 2026 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid a few weeks ago and now I am looking into making some modifications. I used Forscan a couple of years ago to put a junk yard ECU in my 2013 Mazda 3 so I've got some experience with it but I am rusty.
I was trying to follow this guide from this thread to enable windows up/down using the key FOB but when I try to find the DDM module in Forscan to modify the as-built code it doesn't appear. I'm connecting using the OBDLinkEX adapter, making sure to say yes to using the high baud rate, and using Forscan v2.3.70 on Windows 11. From what I've found in the forums there is a DDM module for 2025 models but even this sheet from this thread hasn't got a DDM module listed for 2026 Mavs. Am I missing something, or does Forscan not fully support the 2026's yet? I'm curious what others have found.

Ford Maverick 2026 Maverick Windows Up/Down with FOB 1773703437922-a3

I'm wondering what else the Mav Lariat owners are doing to enable hidden functions on their trucks.

Thanks for your help!

It might be an issue with the one touch up and down feature being discontinued for 2026... I thought I heard.

It is definitely possible to enable the "Global Open/Close" feature on a 2026 Maverick using FORScan, but there is a hardware catch: it generally only works on the Lariat (and Lobo/Tremor high-spec) trims that have "One-Touch Up/Down" functionality on all four windows.

I could never figure why Ford put such a high priority on one touch up/down on our Mavericks. It is really not that big of a state of the art feature that couldn't even be offered on the XLT. Now i read it is already all there in its entirety on certain models it is just that Ford never turned it on. What would be the logic in that?

Doesn’t this also require changing the main switch on the driver side?

I'll have to check again tomorrow but I'm pretty sure the window switches are two position - light press for momentary up/down and full press for all the way up/down.

I guess I can try to make all of the other changes in Forscan and see if that enables it.

Brilliant eh! I don't get the logic either if it's already there.

My 2024 XLT is "One touch" down...but not one touch UP. Driver's door only for the down. KInd of used to it on my 250 Platty....so yeah Ford...come on....

Look under body module and open it will appear all options to turn on or off , make sure you download factory settings to a named file first.

I tried it again and mine is the same. You need to hold the switch for the window to fully raise.

I'll give this a shot tonight and see if I can get it to work. Thanks for the reminder to back everything up!

Usually, when you see this odd stuff, it's the interface of annual goals for the Engineers to cut costs to interface with the Marketing department and the Brand Manager for the vehicle. It also depends on the component suppliers and their capabilities and cost.

Depending on the winds and the financial goals, generally there are VERY specific items and costs that they are required for their annual evaluation to drive out of their products. This is tempered by what the marketing people want to do, but of course, money rules all in the long run. It also depends on where they're at with suppliers and their suppliers ability.

In the case of these windows, the additional cost I was told once for another vehicle it's driven by the safety requirements of the auto open and close.

As a retired engineer, I kind of found it fascinating. I was in a completely different industry, but we had the same kind of thing in our PMP to review. And Detroit friends LOL//Yes, the Engineers, and even the Brand Manager, sometimes sandbag on a new vehicle introduction knowing they need stuff to cut as the product rolls around over the years and brand extensions may provide a chance to gain some margin and add some stuff.

Pure speculation, but for example, if they can save three dollars per car by eliminating the windows automatic function times 60,000 units because the mechanism has been redesigned all of a sudden there is a near $200,000 win for the Engineers...

Yeah, but it sure does suck for the users. Just want a simple auto up/down window button Jesus.. how expensive could it be? well yeah, you answered that. 😂😂
