I like the 25's look a lot more than the prior generation, but primarily I bought it for the fact that it's an AWD, has 4K tow capability, and it's a hybrid that gets incredible mpg's.I’m at the point now where I actually PREFER it over the original design. I love the horn-shaped lights. Anyone feel the same? Have you noticed a decrease in the hate for the front-end?
The drag coefficient of the new front end is lower than the pre-refresh.I wouldn't call it hate but that cheesy plastic flapper thing under the headlights could have been done better. Kinda afterthought looking. Although, it does leave itself open to customizations.
Proof of this? A refresh typically does not get wind tunnel testing. The drag coefficient of the new front end is lower than the pre-refresh.
Sorry - proof is proprietary info!Proof of this? A refresh typically does not get wind tunnel testing.
Exactly. Once you see the “Bull” - you can’t unsee itThe front redesign could have been much better, but someone said it looks like the steer horns on the original maverick logo so I kinda like it now!
What, no wink emoji with that statement?AI is scary fast & accurate!
I don’t want to mock AI - it knows where I live…What, no wink emoji with that statement?
It may tell you that it has that information, but it really doesn't know anything.I don’t want to mock AI - it knows where I live…
You kind of helped make my point. As I said previously, there were people in this forum claiming that front end of the 2025 Maverick's was going to tank sales and no one would buy them. Obviously that was ridiculous as it clearly had almost effect on sales, the Maverick is more popular than ever. The front end was a non-issue because there was no alternative. If you wanted something in the Maverick's class of one vehicle, you could only get it with the new front end.
It may tell you that it has that information, but it really doesn't know anything.
Regardless, you can't trust it.
The early version of AI was the HAL 9000 from the "2001 A Space Odyssey" film.
Ask Dave about AI..
Despite its "perfect operational record", it didn't work out well for most of the crew.![]()
I asked that question to the new version of the HAL 9000 in this form:The drag coefficient of the new front end is lower than the pre-refresh.
Think of the “flapper things” as aero enhancements. Channeling air up onto the chiseled hood line.
Think about it. Clearly that supposed aero improvement is a lie.I asked that question to the new version of the HAL 9000 in this form:
"Is the drag coefficient of the new 2025 ford maverick truck front end lower than the prior year models".
The reply:
Yes, the drag coefficient of the new 2025 Ford Maverick's front end is lower than that of the prior year models, which is an improvement aimed at enhancing aerodynamics. This change contributes to better fuel efficiency and overall performance.
The obvious question would be, does the current AI have a "perfect operational record" like the HAL 9000....
An actually useful answer would be the actual drag coefficients of both models.I asked that question to the new version of the HAL 9000 in this form:
"Is the drag coefficient of the new 2025 ford maverick truck front end lower than the prior year models".
The reply:
Yes, the drag coefficient of the new 2025 Ford Maverick's front end is lower than that of the prior year models, which is an improvement aimed at enhancing aerodynamics. This change contributes to better fuel efficiency and overall performance.
