There are only 3 battery chargers that are made in the U.S.
... and CTEK isn't one of them.

Battery chargers are a commodity product.
What does it matter who came out with the first one?
The market has matured over the years, so whatever advantage an early pioneer had is long gone. Current maintainers have little difference between them, except cost, and there isn't a lot more that needs to be done to intelligently charge a 12 volt battery in a vehicle.

If you want a charger made in China for Sweden that's your choice.
It doesn't mean that it's the best choice despite your opinion, because there just isn't that much difference.

Considering how worked up you got over this topic, it sounds like CTEK needs to pay you more, or maybe less, because your ad campaign isn't working.

Nice completely unbiased opinion.
I'm sure CTEK appreciates the free advertising.
I'll stick with my Noco.
So, your opinion is not biased?? LOL.....neither of us are, we just like
what we like. I back mine up with owning at least 6 of them over
the years, and with lots of research done BEFORE I bought my first one.

As long as we like what we bought.....for the long run. Right?? Yep!

That's right and I never said it was. Not campaign. At least 6 purchased over the years,
and yes...why??....cause I left some on the cars I traded for various reasons. Nice guy....too
much trouble on a couple vehicles, dealer asked me and appreciated I left them with the
trade car. And I researched BEFORE I bought my first one.
I'm not worked up at all. Just defending my research, and ownership. I could care less what
you buy. I'm here to help others with experience and ownership of certain products.
That's all. Don't assume why I say what I do. You don't KNOW me.

We are here to learn, share, help IF we can. Not to disparage anyone or assume, like you have.
I'll sleep like a baby tonight. You'll be wondering how you can attack me with another angle.
LOL....You're worked up....not me. Don't worry....be happy!! Ta Ta.....

Bottom line. Are CTEK chargers manufactured in the United States, Sweden or China?
Original design, tech, testing, development and being the FIRST microprocessor controlled
charger/tender of this kind and then copied....by others came from Sweden.
Outsourced to build...China. Just almost all others.
Continuing upgrading and keeping up with new tech and batteries happens in their
labs by engineers in Sweden.

Happy now??

A quick search indicates that CTEK units are very good and have advanced features. Battery Tender (BT) also continues to get great reviews and is a less expensive option for basic battery maintenance. IOW, if a person needs the additional features of the CTEK they should buy it -- but for those looking for a well designed, reliable, maintainer the BT remains a good choice.

I have no need for any more maintainers, but if I did I'd definitely look closer at CTEK. To be fair to BT, they have numerous models and some may have similar features -- they are not all basic -- so I'd look at them as well. For example, this one looks good for $150:
https://www.batterytender.com/products/battery-tender®-12v-15-amp-8-amp-2-amp-selectable-chemistry-battery-charger

That's just one. If I was in the market I'd do a deep dive.
Go to CTEK's site. You will see NUMEROUS models to fit any situation. And...$150....yikes!
Mine were just under $100 to a few $$ over a hundred.

Like I said, I have plenty of chargers and maintainers, but if I needed one I would definitely consider CTEK.

Did you happen to go to the BT/Deltran site? They have several maintainers from $45 to $65 -- and that is MSRP. They can frequently be purchased for less.

The one that is $150 is both a maintainer AND a 15 amp charger that automatically switches to maintenance mode. If bought separately, 2 equivalent units would be that much or more. Needless to say though, if a person only needs a maintainer then that's not the model for them. I mentioned it as something to consider, that's all.

I'm reminded of the Bronco Sport OB and BS Badlands. They're both good vehicles that appeal to specific buyers. Some people want all of the latest electronic features -- they get the OB. Others care more about the drivetrain and off-road ability, they buy the BL.

The more expensive BT units do have more advanced features than my older models, but I have no need for them. Even my basic units will charge 6V batteries which I have no use for.

Cool, Cool, I’ll buy that!

I had an AGM come stock on my 2008 Harley 1200 Roadster.
And I had a stock AGM in my favorite Crotch Rocket. My 1980 Honda CB760F Twin Cam.

I bet very few hold that knowledge today. I’ll not get into Li-ion or Life-PO4, LFP.
Some other Greek can run that in for us.

Baby loved it when I stirred the gear box just above 10,000 rpm .

My Motorcraft AGM is not new tech in any form. AGM has changed little but knowing how to best handle them has matured.

Man, that was one of my favorite bikes! I had a 4 cyl Honda, small cc engine, and a Kawi
4 cyl 550. Loved those 4 cyl bikes.

CTEK has chargers for bikes, all kinds of rec. vehicles. Lithium Ion etc, some are specific
for the battery. Mine are for std acid batteries, AGM's and bikes.

Interesting how you get upset about my comments when you've made worse.
You know nothing about me either, including my state of mind, but that doesn't stop you.
Of course, that's fine for you to do, just not anyone else.

Sorry you can't handle any different opinions, but yours is just that.
A different opinion.

Have a wonderful CTEK enabled life. I'll have a great Noco enabled life. 😉

I've got a descendant of the CB series, a '96 750 Nighthawk.
I've owned it for 20 years and I'm on my second AGM battery which lives on a Noco charger.

The AGM battery is only 8 years old.. Just a baby. 😉 My last battery lasted 12 years.
It's the easiest bike to maintain I've ever owned.
Hydraulic valves, no spokes. Oil changes and air filters is about all it needs.

It's set up for highway with a Rifle fairing up front which gives it a low drag profile, and a higher range gearset which combines to give me 45+ mpg's round trip cruising on the interstate at 75.
