I did a neat block heater upgrade...instead of opening the hood every time I plug in (and I didn't like the look of leaving the plug pinched outside the hood)
The NOCO bulkhead connector fits perfectly on the lower left bumper skirt.
Drill a 2 inch hole, and the connector fits perfectly. There is plenty of slack in the block heater cable to reroute. Installation requires temporarily removing the the forward mudsplash flap which is super easy to do.

I've seen some variations of this by others, using the front fog light area for the connector, but I wanted to keep that area open in case I add fog lights one day!

Nice! I have been looking for a way to run it out the front, mine is part of the recall though so I am not allowed to use it.

Will the OEM cable under the hood not reach back to the front fender where the plastic "XL/XLT/LARIAT" badge is? Several folks put plug connectors there on their hybrids for battery chargers. If that would be an option, I like it better since that black fender badge pops out and is replaceable pretty easily if you ever wanted/needed to put the truck back to stock.

I’m not sure if the OEM cable will reach but there’s a solution even if it doesn’t. Where I mounted my bulkhead pass through the OEM cable was a tad short so I picked up a 3’ outdoor extension cord from Amazon and made the connection. With that same cord I can pretty much guarantee it’ll reach to the fender badge. That’s actually brilliant as many people don’t want to or can’t bend down by the skid plate.
