Lobo + Snow = Donuts. Show Your Snow ❄️ ⛄️

We only get (good) snow around these parts every few years. Was super excited to take the ole Lobo out in the aftermath (about 6-8" snow). It handles slick areas like a dream, but hard ice is still a threat with how lightweight the truck is.

Took it to an open lot, stuck it in Lobo mode, and turned off traction. Super easy to get donuts going, and just have to tickle the throttle to keep it moving. Even had 2 kids cheering me on enjoying the show lol. A rather lovely experience, and boy does it look good!

Started snowing here in northern Mass. Truck is parked and it will be that way until tomorrow morning when I go to work.

Took my 25 hybrid AWD out into the 6+ inches of snow, sleet and freezing rain that we received over last two days. Tried to stay off main streets and stuck to untreated roads. At first it was a bit dicey until I remembered to switch modes to slippery. It did great, drove by at least a half dozen stuck vehicles. Only time I had any second thoughts was when I drove through a parking lot of fresh stuff between two buildings where wind had helped pile it several inches deeper. I’m sure glad I had the forethought to move my wife’s 24 hybrid in drive and park my AWD in garage no windows to clean off.

Donuts will leave their mark in the snow. Just like a kid doing a snow angel. Unless I see evidence of at least three rotations, the driver is a wimpy donut maker. Better yet, have someone video the donut making and post it on the thread.

Cleanup starts tomorrow morning, two feet in the driveway, from blowing/drifting. Will get out & play in the Bronco once we get off Level 3 road conditions...

I’ve had mine in a couple of snowy icey situations now and it’s handled everything really well. It’s not a LOBO like the OP, but an XLT FX4. 6-8” of Ohio snow after Christmas, drove through everything in slippery mode without concern. Right now in Charlotte, ice/snow and drove like a champ without issue. I’ve driven in the NC mountains with snow several times as well without issue. I’ve been very impressed, only way to make it get tricky is to turn off the traction control, otherwise it just drives straight.

Took the Mav out in about 14” of snow today and came back with the nose looking like Tony Montana!

Never failed to claw and plow its way through. Once they plowed had some fun with the kids

Wish everyone would stop talking about Donuts. Went out today in my 25 hybrid AWD just to see how roads were. While out decided to do some Donuts, both shops were closed had to settle for some Oreo cookies.
