You have a couple options there. 1st at the bottom of that sidebar you have an up and down arrow, you can cycle through Carplay, Sync Navigation, current audio selection (like what is playing on fm or XM), and one other option, but can't remember right now. Or if you don't want to see that right side bar at all you can make carplay full size by tapping the outward arrows oval that is right above the clock that is orange in your picture. Then if you want to minimize carplay you hit the same button to minimize it. Hope this helps you out.
