I got an average of 32 mpg on a 340 mile round trip this past weekend! My Maverick is a 2024 with a gas powered ecoboost engine. Much of this was 70 mph highway but with some city stop and go miles during the drive to and while at my destination. I'm very happy with my Maverick.

I’m always either descending, climbing or turning in my Appalachian mountains.
Averaging 26 mpg, very happy

The 2026 F-150 crew cab AWD Hybrid is getting 25 mpg.
A friend of mine got one.
That mpg on a vehicle that size is fantastic.

I don't know if 25 for an F150 is great or not. My other truck is 2017 F350, crew cab, 4x4 with FX4 package, 8'bed, 6.7 power stroke, 6 spd automatic. I get 18mpg on the hiway at 70, 21mpg if I am on 2 lanes at 50-55mph. I think that is great for such a heavy vehicle.
I haven't had the opportunity to test the new Mav on the open road.

My 22 Mav is capable of getting 30+ mpg in ideal conditions with mostly highway driving. Overall average is currently at 28.6
My overall is currently 28.7, identical to yours.

Out of the mountains on flat terrain 28-29 mpg is easy with the Ecoboost.

Just back from a Christmas run to western SC from central MA. Ran 8 to 10 over the speed limit on the interstates much of the time. 28.6 on dash, 26.577 calculated. Happy with that.
8-10 over yeah the Ecoboost does love to breathe.
As for dash vs calculated mpg differences mine narrowed the gap as I crossed 5,000 miles. I’m no more than one mpg off now.

BUT ! I do think this wide 2 plus mpg difference will return as soon as I disconnect my battery for a BMS reset.

I have been in adjusting the calc thru programing, that is why my calc MPG is so close to dash numbers.

I would use the other method for resetting the BMS....

To reset the Battery Monitoring System (BMS) on a Ford vehicle, ensure all doors and windows are closed, turn the ignition to the "on" position without starting the engine, wait 10 seconds, flash the high beams five times, and then press the brake pedal three times within 10 seconds. The battery light on the instrument cluster will flash to indicate a successful reset.

That is solid mileage for the EcoBoost, especially at a steady 70 mph. A mix of highway with some city driving usually helps the average a bit. Sounds like the truck is doing exactly what it should on longer trips.

I had a 160 mile round trip on January 1. Got 34 mpg on that trip mostly highway at 70 mph and have been averaging 33 since then with some stop and go but still mostly highway. The only thing I can attribute to the mpg getting better is I switched to only 93 octane about 4 tanks back so now its likely gotten most of the 89 gone. This is the mpg stated by the computer. I did one manual calculation when I first got my maverick that was very close to the computer.

I am usually getting mid 30's on road trips going about 65 mph, it does drop off to the low 30's when I go above 70. I took a road trip on lower speed roads where I didnt get above 55 and got 37 mpg on the way there, thought maybe I had a tailwind so I reset the trip odometer and got 39 on the way back!
