4K Tow Package but No Obvious Brake Control

I recently bought a new 2025 Maverick XL hybrid with AWD and 4K towing. I have not towed anything with it yet. It doesn't have the trailer brake control levers under the dashboard that I've seen in pictures. It does have a 7-pin trailer connector next to the hitch receiver. Will the vehicle control the trailer brakes as is, or do I need to have an additional accessory installed?

I'm guessing not. Are you sure there's no squeeze lever (for manual application of trailer brakes) on the lower left side of the dash? You need to be able to manually apply then when needed (say to reduce a swaying trailer) AND you need to be able to adjust the amount of trailer braking applied automatically when you brake the truck normally.

I think that's supposed to be part of every 4K tow package, but I could be mistaken.

Sorry! False alarm. The brake control lever is there, just inconspicuous in the shadows. Here's a picture to prove it.

You do not have the 4K towing package. I hope you didn't have to pay for it. I would review this with your dealer ASAP.

Reminds me of TFL on YouTube. They shame manufactures who don't include a trailer brake controller in their tow packages.

But yes Ford's is easy to miss given it's placement, but it's also unobtrusive for the majority of the time that you aren't towing anything.

Are you a bot? The post right above yours is the thread starter posting a picture of his trailer brake controller, which only comes with the 4K package.
