Melodious Farts are one thing - Explosive Diarrhea is quite another.

Trust me - the resonator will solve your problem:)
Thanks, man. I'll pick one up. So just to be clear, this will make an in-town jaunt through the low gears, as well as a 6 hour road trip (lots other work runs from NorCal to SoCal) much much more bearable?

Yes, I guarantee it;)

Also order these $27 clamps & $15 hangers? OEM hangers will work - but the Evil ones have multiple holes for easier fitting.

I removed about a 10.5 inch section of the Borla to fit the resonator in fyi, leaving the slotted Borla tip and Borla clamp to connect to OEM pipe…

Just checking, ghostrider72 - did you install the Lobo/Tremor version or the XL/XLT/Lariat version?

My clamps & cuts are based on the Lobo/Tremor version. If you have the other version you might need different clamps & different length cuts. Will sound better either version though!

I’m going to bed - we can discuss further tomorrow if needed 💤

Looking at your photos, it appears you put it here, yeah? Seems a bit obvious but I only get one cut 😆

My Borla is different from the diagram you pictured. I placed the resonator at the front (see pic). Ignore the clamps (replaced - were not tight enough) and the markings on the cardboard (not lined up in pic).

My first thought was to place a magnaflow muffler in place of the Borla “muffler”…definitely the quietest route. But instead I added the “resonator” & kept the “Borla” sound - just quieter & less droney

Certainly not a straight pipe.

Borla calls the “muffler” a “Polyphonic Harmonizer”. You’re paying extra for those curvy pipes I mean muffler.
And paying for that cool marketing name, PMSL.

Patiently waiting for a sound clip.
Last borla I herd on a B S with the 1.5 L Turbo sounded like ‘Rice’

If ya get my drift.

Race-Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements (RICE) is more a look than a sound. Things like wings, lips, spoilers, neon lights, and to a lesser extent exhaust.

Not to be confused with Nerd-Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements (NICE) like fender flares, mud flaps, bug deflectors, etc.

My Lobo is a NICE & RICE Combo with some actual race inspired bits…suspension & RDU “upgrades”.

I can’t post more than a 5sec audio here….due to my phone & forum software? I did post a 5sec sound clip - but I don’t blame ya for not noticing or remembering. Not memorable;)

Yeah that's different. You've got more pipe up front. I'll have my guy check it out when he can get back under there. Sucks I can't do it myself because I get positional vertigo. After 10 minutes of being under a car, I'm spending at least an hour laying down trying to recover

I’m my world, ‘Rice’ stood for rice burner, AKA
Japanese motorcycles.
And it was applied to all the little Japanese engines that had an awful high pitched sound when modified.

Back in the day most modified four bangers sounded terrible when you played with the exhaust.

I ordered the Borla for Front Wheel Drive because it is on clearance for $260 plus $65 shipping. The pipes are not like the Lobo version, so I have not figured out where to put the resonator yet either. I’ve been under the truck a couple times looking for a straight section of pipe that will work. So far only the part after the catalytic converter seems like it will work. I’m thinking I should have just gone with a different cat back system now even with the discount… ugh

Ordered today…$799 plus $64 shipping. I find the shape of the “muffler” fascinating. Will post a sound clip after I receive & install.

A magnaflow catback was my first choice - but were not available for my 2025.

The Ford Performance Catback was my 2nd choice. But at $1200 it was too expensive.

Ford Parts Dept recommended the $799 Borla and they ordered it for me with $15 shipping to dealer.

When it arrived I installed myself. Way to LOUD & DRONY.

I bought the magnaflow muffler you picture to add to my system - but it was a bit too long to fit in the Borla piping. Still have it, would recommend it - and you can have it for free if you meet me in Nogales:)
