The XL, XLT, and Lariat also have that same “muffler” shape and $60 less expensive. I think the Lobo/Tremor have differently shaped tubing for their rear differential.

Is that considered a muffler? Out here we need a muffler in order to pass inspection, and I have seen the Borla kit and wondered is it a muffler or basically just straight pipe.

Certainly not a straight pipe.

Borla calls the “muffler” a “Polyphonic Harmonizer”. You’re paying extra for those curvy pipes I mean muffler.

How did this work out for you? I just installed it on my Lobo and it is absolutely dreadful in the cabin. Nearly unbearable. I had Borla on my Focus ST and Miata RF and absolutely loved the sound, but this... holy shit.

You are correct sir - holy shit. Check out my thread here for my final opinion. Sounds wonderful now, although still a bit too loud at cold start for my taste…

“My test drive was horrendous. Incredible cabin drone that caused my dash to rattle & my ears to hurt. Exterior sound was echoing off my neighbors houses at low rpm’s. Giving it the beans was scary explosive.

Took my truck to the local high performance muffler shop where they were surprised that Borla let this product ship!”

Yeah it's been about 45 minutes since I got home and my head is still feeling like I was in a pressure cooker. Checking out your other thread. Funny.. I thought for emergency measure I'd have the stock muffler put back in but... for some reason the instructions said to cut if off at a point rendering it useless. I should have had some forethought on that. Looking into sound deadening material but I can't imagine that helping any.

I added this $79 resonator and it eliminated the painful drone tremendously!
