I took a look at the "Build Your Maverick" webpage on Ford's website a few minutes ago. They removed the "Limited Availablity" notice for the Hybrid engine, and the entire order page has gone through a minor redesign. Does anyone know if some supply issue has prompted this change? I hope it means that those of us who have already ordered one will be getting them sooner rather than later.

I don't have any idea but i would highly doubt they would close the order banks for only 2 weeks

Displaying nothing is probably a wiser marketing decision than telling people it's unavailable.

"Limited Availability" makes people want to get their orders in ASAP. "Unavailable Until Summer 2022" makes people want to shop for another car/truck.

On Ford's Canada website you can select the Hybrid option but it simply directs you to the EB 2.0 features and options. Cannot request to build a Hybrid.

I went back to the site and built the same truck I ordered with my salesman. I went as far as clicking on the "Create an Order" button to bring up the dialogue to submit it to my dealer. I stopped at hitting the "Submit Order" button. I'm guessing it will go to the dealership, and they'll contact me to say I have to switch to the Ecoboost. As someone already pointed out, you can't advertise that you are SOLD OUT of anything, then send your customers elsewhere.

I noticed this too this morning. I went there to verify what I was getting in my truck, but didn't give it much thought at the time. Interesting.

That is actually sending a request to your dealer, not an actual order.

I wonder if it's to gague ongoing interest and to connect with future buyers. Seems like valuable data for planning.

Ford Canada site on the west coast still shows hybrid is available. I went to the dealer last week and ordered the Hybrid XLT Lux package. Also wanted the tonneau cover. They told me drop in box liner instead of spray in and no tonneau otherwise my order was submitted.

That's interesting! It makes sense they don't wanna say unavailable though.
