Regular Radio works in Canada but not in the USA

So my last two trips into Maine from New Brunswick Canada the Maverick (2022 Hybrid XLT) it will not let me use regular Audio to play AM or FM radio, get to other audio sources outside of Android Auto. As soon as I cross back into Canada it works as it should. I have a US Canada voice and data plan on my Pixel 8. Weird. Any solutions?

It's confusing as hell.

Over the air AM and FM knows no borders.

I have a 2022 XLT Hybrid.

Changing sources is not intuitive.
But this is probably a user error or a glitch with your phone. (Try disconnecting your phone.)

I say put it on simple FM antenna radio before you cross and see what happens.

Pretty sure this is not a Trump executive order (IE to ban Canadians from listening to USA radio) or a Ford "feature".

I drove into B.C. and Alberta and everything was fine B.T. (Before Trump not to be confused with Bluetooth BT)

I'm confused also as to what is not working. Must be when his phone is plugged in cause can't imagine the regular radio will not work just cause he's in the USa.

Regarding the 4th paragraph in mavstar's post.... With him you never know.... And sp, it wouldn't surprise me if that were true.

Yes the FM Radio stations knows no borders but lately when I cross into the States outside of Android Auto running on the screen the screen will not let me access any of the audio sources: AM, FM, USB, Bluetooth etc. Sync 3 hardware, Software. Where it says Audio Off when I touch it it beeps and nothing happens. I cannot access my Sources. Cross back into Canada and it all works normally. Weird. Internet data for mapping and internet sat radio and podcasts etc works fine in Android Auto apps. Everything worked fine a month ago.

I have a 25 Maverick, live right at the US border and have no issues with AM/FM on either side "of the wall."

Have you tried doing a hard reset of the infotainment system (Power + FF buttons for 6ish seconds till Ford logo shows, 22-24 Mavs)? I don't travel south of the 49th parallel anymore, but that seems like a very odd problem.

No have not tried that yet. Will be back in the States in a week.

A boot in the UK is a trunk. An Aussie y-tuber mentioned that we call the back of our trucks the bed... "Do you sleep in them?".
