Radio works but the dash buttons do not

Hello, so this isn't for my Mav but my moms (she liked mine so much she went and got her own). She has a 2023 Lariat and she is claiming that her radio works and you can change the volume and tuner from the steering wheel but the knobs on the dash are not working. I'm going over to her house tonight to try and troubleshoot the issue but has anyone ran into this or have any idea of how I can fix it for her?

Try holding the power button and the seek right button to force a power cycle and see if that does anything. If not, you can remove the screen portion fairly easily to check the connections behind those buttons on the dash. Maybe something wiggled loose.

Take a plastic pry tool and pull the tray behind the screen upwards, then remove the two screws behind the screen. There are 4 clips you need to depress to remove the screen itself. Take your pry tool and push inwards then wiggle up and down in the top two corners and the bottom corners. You should be able to see their location as you are loosening them. Then you should be able to see down in there where the dash buttons are. I have not removed that portion though and it's been a while since I removed the screen itself, so someone correct me if I'm wrong or if there is another process for removal/inspection of those buttons.

I tried to reset the radio and that did not fix the problem. I didn't want to chance prying the dash open and possibly voiding the warranty. The buttons are connected as the power button reboot thing worked but turning the volume or tune knob does nothing. I also dug through all the menus to see if there was some sort of child lock feature for the radio and she somehow turned it on but could not find anything. She is going to take it into the dealer because I couldn't figure it out.
