At this stage, I'm not sure we can compare 2025 2.0L vs <2025s. Let alone 7 speed Lobo trans vs 8 speed.so thats why she is so noisy, mine averaged 35 mpg yesterday on a slightly lower altitude run with reasonable throttle and no jack rabbit starts( didn't use eco either, don't like it)
turbo good at high elevation! Standard final drive ratio is 3.63 I believe the lightweight wheels and new all season tires help mine to cruise easily, the computer sneaked up to 36 mpg on the way home after I inverdantly topped it off with non ethanol; gas( less than 1/2 a tank) all thats arbitrary until 4 gals runs it over after a couple hour trip, the fuel mileage is one I really like on this vehicle( hate the seats though) at times its close to double the mileage my Nissan VQ averaged. At this stage, I'm not sure we can compare 2025 2.0L vs <2025s. Let alone 7 speed Lobo trans vs 8 speed.
I'm sorta curious how the final drive ratio compares in top gear, but rarely am I in 7th.
I drive the Lobo like its a 'hot pickup', a hot hatch equivalent of a pickup. I don't expect to see 30+ mpg regularly. but will be happy if/when I do for a long distance highway run. I'll have one coming up soon, and be curious to see how it goes.
But it will be through high elevation (11,000 ft+) and some tight, twisty, switch back roads for a portion of it..And it will probably get the Lobo-mode treatment.
