Buying crazy padded Hokas seems to fit with the original question ....
There are literally hundreds & hundreds of aftermarket lumbar support cushions for Cars/Trucks on Amazon. Maybe even a Hokas one.

$39-$79 prices. I tried a couple for a previous truck that was painfully uncomfortable (it had lumbar support btw) until I found one that was just right. Of course every body is unique - so it would be useless to share my pick.

The thought of selling that truck before fixing the seat issue? Of course not. If one of the inexpensive offerings did not work (unlikely) - I would have consulted a pro seat maker. That would have resulted in a great (but pricey) seat:)

Bad seats are not anyones imagination -

It's been a problem all automakers have regarding seats - they put aesthetics over health .... Do a search and you'll see article after article - one stood out from 2017 where you get the full picture - article is as good today as back then ....

Your Car's Seats Are Terrible and the Industry Knows It | Column | Car and Driver

Ray Scott, president of the seat division for Lear Corp., which last year made the seats for 17 million vehicles, acknowledges that car seats have got to evolve. “Car seats are designed for the first 15 minutes of ‘soak time’ in the dealership,” he told me, referring to the often much-too-brief period during which prospective buyers decide if their favored new car has comfy chairs. However, he says, “the occupants are not being supported over the long run.” And what’s worse, the buyer often doesn’t even know it, having adopted a seating position that seems perfectly comfortable but is actually doing long-term damage.

Cheers
Lear went bankrupt also.

Careful don't raise your blood pressure. We are allowed to speak and also, allowed not to listen. Turn the Page.
It's all good, blood pressure is perfect!! I did listen, spoke and turned the page, but the same complaining came back in multiple titled threads/pages. Someone loves to complain on and on about uncomfortable seats, but wait, then we we comments of shopping and pictures of new tennis shoes. I sincerely hope he finds a solution. Meanwhile after all these years I think I've found a use for the Ignore feature :like:

I honestly think Ford Engineers do the best that they can to build an assembly line vehicle with as close to a one sized fits all mentality as possible. Of course everyone is different and they do not customize anything about their vehicles to individual body sizes or preferences. Otherwise the cost of everything would be prohibitive. Anymore in life we need to accept trade offs. Everything is a trade off. I'm not exactly thrilled about the orange accents in my XLT but my seats are just fine. Trade off. I'm not complaining about the orange. I just accept it or modify it as best I can with black after market products. As far as comfort goes, you can spend more money to go get custom seats made or keep experimenting with aftermarket solutions. There is obviously an industry for that. The point is to the OP, everyone driving a Maverick or any other vehicle for that matter has had to make some trade offs of some sort. If you keep asking people if they are sharing the same experiences as you as a way to justify why you are having your problems, that is an exercise in futility. Of course you'll find others that share your pain, but that is not relevant. Ask me how I feel about my seats and I'll say they are great. No problems. But that means nothing because you are not enjoying your seats like I am. In your post last week you pretty much said you were going to trade your vehicle in. Obviously you haven't, but at this point no one on this forum is going to try to make you change your mind. That is your decision and only yours. Accept the trade offs or let it go.

My XL F-150 had very comfy seats, I’ve owned two base model rangers, old ones and comfortable also,
My 2010 pony car was great on long trips,

~Head bands and Leather, Sparks flying in the middle of the night~
Heavy Metal Noise~ Sammy Hagar.

My 2021 Bronco Sport was a Base model, again great seats.
My 2024 Lariat has extremely comfortable seats.
I’ll have to go with the, “ I’m very healthy “
Clan.

EXACTLY!!!! Beating a dead horse to death forever about uncomfortable seats and his health aliments, complain complain all ya hear. He needs to get a custom seat made or trade the dang truck for something that will satisfy him if that’s even possible
Now THAT is an uncomfortable seat!
I guess.
Maybe not...
Now THAT has got to be a bad smell!
Make you forget all about the bad seat.
And there's the solution.
Forget new car scent - dead horse scent for the distraction!

Alright I think this needs to be clarified because I think this thread is going in a direction that correction in the intention of the post. This has nothing to do specifically with the maverick seats. For those of you who have responded in the intention that I had on the post I thank you. Here is what the intention is about. I asked as a whole, do you feel that Ford as a company tends to make the base model seats of all their vehicles less comfortable as a way to make people by the higher trim just like they do on cell phone companies and elsewhere. This does not have anything specifically with the Maverick this had everything to do with all models. On the main part of the post you will see that I discussed an interaction I had with another individual who has a Ford explore of which I am looking at who said that his base model seats were uncomfortable because of a lack of lumbar support. Started this thread that is what the question was about. I understand that with this being a maverick forum and the fact that I have posted about how the seats are uncomfortable to me before that one can kind of link one and one together but that’s not what that post is about. My question was and still remains do you think Ford does this on purpose. That’s the question. Had nothing to do with the Maverick specifically

So for those of you who responded in the intention I had, thank you. For those of you who have come back and continued to use the whole while I’m a healthy individual line or took it a different direction I would ask again to read my post.

Also, stop with the insinuation that I’m some kind of whale. Am I average weight? No do I have some extra weight? Yes but am I a whale? No

Someone going to an actual shoe store reminded me of going to Tom McCann's as a kid for my back to school shoes. (You must be over 60 to know what I'm talking about.)
I completely know what you are talking about. And don't forget about the free shoe spoon!

I have a question. Many have purchased the fake leather seat covers. They add a lot of bulk to the front seats. Does this change make them more or less comfortable. I got the cheaper cloth covers because I was afraid it would make the bolsters tighter and the seat less comfortable.
