Can any owner of a Lariat Ecoboost with Lux package tell me if that package includes HD radio. All other Fords with the B&O speakers include HD radio, but the Maverick specs are silent about HD radio.

According to page 386 of the owner's manual vehicles with SYNC3 have HD radio.

There is a lot of misinformation in the owners manual. On page 410 it says there is a factory navigation system, but NO WHERE ELSE is mention made of factory nav. So I would like to know what is on the actual manufactured vehicle.

None of the Maverick trim levels has navigation. You can use Apple Car Play or Android Auto for navigation.

My question is, does the Lariat Luxury Package have HD radio, NOT does it have navigation.

So basically you have to use the navigation off of your phone?

Okay, I’ll bite…
whats “HD” radio?
Same as your HD tv. Channels come in clearer, you get additional channels (i.e 101.1 ch1, ch2, ch3 that play additional genres, some commercial free). There is an audible difference when my current vehicle loses it's HD signal.

Glad to hear the lux package has HD radio. My favorite station here has an HD channel that is commercial free. No need for XM radio for me!

Yes. I use waze from my phone in my Mustang which has navigation. I’ve used the navigation in my car a couple of times in 3 years. It’s just easier with my phone. Navigation came with my car. I never would of optioned my car like that.

HDradio.com

One feature I use in my area is that a local AM radio station also has an HD channel on the FM side, so it's much clearer reception.

HD radio is a great feature, but personally it's a nice to have at this point for me.
I bought a radio upgrade for one of my cars purely to get it in the past.

That was before Android auto though. Now I just listen to stuff that I downloaded ahead of time onto my phone.

YouTube music, audio books, podcasts... Ect?

Call me old fashioned (I'm only 31), but I still prefer to listen to the radio over my phone. Only time I'll use my wife's Spotify or whatever I downloaded is if were going on a trip somewhere out of reception range of my normal channels.

One thing I am wondering if it has improved with HD radio is the tuning delay. My current HD radio has about a second or two of silence when picking up the HD signal or whenever I change between HD stations. Kinda like how the old HDTVs used to take forever to load the HD channel over the standard definition.

I listen to the radio sometimes, seriously 95% of what I listen to is Audiobooks.
