Hahaha this is proof positive they are making a killing selling these warranties.
Cost of repairs are up longevity and durability is going down.

More people are buying these extended warranties so they them assume we see them as cheap insurance.
In this they know they, them can swueeze us more and can get away with making less durable vehicles.

What’s the single best way to sell more vehicles ?
It’s not building vehicles that will close in on a half a million miles.
It’s building shit that wears out before 200,000
Miles and selling extra warranties for a PROFIT

All that the market will stand fore. They got us by the short hairs, always.

This is what we used to have when I grew upIn 1970, average car warranties were generally one year, though some manufacturers offered more, like Chrysler's previous five-year/50,000-mile powertrain warranty, while Ford Motor Company was ending its coverage on engine components for its 1971 models, moving toward a shorter, one-year bumper-to-bumper warranty. Warranties in the early 1970s were becoming shorter and less comprehensive due to increasing car complexity and repair costs.
Here's a breakdown of the warranty situation in 1970:
Trend toward shorter coverage:
By the early 1970s, auto manufacturers were moving away from longer warranties, with the trend leaning towards shorter, more basic coverage for new vehicles.
Ford's shift:
Ford Motor Company, for example, was phasing out its five-year/50,000-mile powertrain warranty, reportedly because of increasing costs, and seemed poised to stick with a one-year warranty on most parts.
Chrysler's previous offering:
Before this shift, Chrysler had offered a more extensive warranty in the mid-1960s, covering the vehicle's powertrain for five years or 50,000 miles.
General shift in coverage:
The overall sentiment was that car warranties were shrinking in duration and scope as cars became more technologically complex and expensive to
repair.

Well, that is kinda correct, Darryl. But there is a workaround.
It’s the exact same warranty that you would buy at a Ford dealership in Orlando, Florida. The state of Florida just doesn’t let Granger sell into Florida. But if you were to buy it from an out of state address, then you could use the warranty at any Ford service center, all the way down to the Conch Republic.
Hypothtically; Don’t you have a relative that lives up in, oh say, Georgia?

I bought my ESP from Granger (Iowa) and I live in Texas. If I drive or move back to Florida the warranty is still valid. As a matter of fact, it’s valid at Any Ford service center.
I’m sure you can read between the lines here, my friend.

I thought so too!

How to convince an owner on the fence about an ESP to roll the dice in one easy step.
best time to buy an ESP is the minute you buy the truck - y
My question still stands
the did jack it up twice last year and now as of oct 1st they will have jacked it up two times again.

My Lariat has not been delivered yet, but I do expect it before 10/1. I of course have the VIN, can the ESP be purchased before I actually get the vehicle?

Yes, I'm reading it 😅. But since I am a dick at a Ford dealership, I decided to forgo any extended warranty. I put about 3,000 MI a month on my truck. So I was concerned that the warranty will be over in less than a year. But the components that I am concerned about are covered for 100,000 Miles. I can probably afford to pay for any base component. The engine itself has a 60,000 mi warranty. As for the hybrid components, if they haven't failed at $100,000 MI, I'll still be okay
