Ecoboost- Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power - Four-Wheel fault

Hi There, was the issue resolved? I just got the powertrain error message yesterday. Went away after I turned the car off.

Yes the error will go away but the issue will return. The dealer replaced the blow/off- wastegate valve as it was not holding the correct amount of boost and would reduce power. All good since then.

Oh wait you have a hybrid then the waste/valve is not your problem -

Did you get the specific fault code and message in the Ford pass app ? Its pretty helpful when trying to sort out what's the root cause -

No fault code, just the error message. It was so random. Didn't reduce power to the car or anything. Ford website says my car is in excellent health, so I'm getting mixed signals lol

I'm hoping it's a sensor issue. Have to wait and see. I'll let you know what the dealership says.

UPDATE: Dealership concluded I needed a new Hybrid battery

Driving 80 heading to Southern Utah, got the error message tool wrench on the dash and then power was cut- Not super awesome but luckily I was close to an exit, pulled off to turn off the engine and let it sit for a bit.

Turned back on without an error and finished the rest of the 4 hour drive without incident- Vehicle did not overheat- Anyone else had this random message and what could be done to avoid this in the future ? Going to see if my dealer can get more info on the specific error.

This sort of thing happened to me in my 2013 Ford Escape when I was driving between Colorado and the East Coast.

About 2.5 hours of driving- It also happened once later when towing our camp trailer- All good since they replaced the Wastegate-Bypass valve
