Is that a 66 7 Litre? sweet!!
Yes. It bought it with 22,500 miles, Emberglo was the color I believe, came with an 8-track that didn't work, probably the belt drive wore out. Got the tranny rebuilt, but never got to tighten up the engine before I had to sell it. Wish I knew where it is now.

Maybe I missed something (it can happen!) but don't some customers already have hybrid models? There are videos of people driving them (not Ford sponsored), so I assumed they were already "for sale". I understand if Ford sold out of them and they are now 'back in stock', so to speak, but this release makes it sound like this is the first time they could be sold.
Ordered mine on Oct 23--Hybrid Lariat.
Nope, they were driving them at an influencer event hosted by Ford in Nashville.

Phenomenal news. I may be close to last on the list to get a hybrid, but perhaps I can get my Hybrid XL before Easter. Just maybe. What I don't understand is, what testing had to be done to allow this truck to be available for sale to the dealers and to those of us who ordered one? I would have thought that this would have all been taken care off before any ordering could be done.

I suspect there was a mistake in the ordering process (no fault of mine) and that when it was discovered it was past the Hybrid cutoff date, even though he tells me that is not the case, but I don't know of anyone else that got switched to an ecoboost without at least their knowledge of first.
You're probably right. It sounds like your salesman ordered you an EcoBoost (or two? weird!).

If the salesman really ordered you a hybrid back then they should be able to show you a DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement) for that hybrid order. Bet they don't have one.

My Lariat hybrid was ordered on Aug 16...have only had 2 emails from Ford...the first was acceptance of the order...the second was the announcement of the EPA certification, that my name was on a truck, and that I would be getting the free accessory package.

No word about VIN numbers, production or other fun stuff.

On the bright side, if the truck isn't delivered until March I'll save $$$ on a winter tire/wheel combo.

Now stop and take a breath. the OKTB is 12/8, so they have started to ship 9 days early?? It will take 9 days for the Mav's to get to the dealerships for them to buy.

Those of you with one sitting out in the desert, great hopefully you will get them before Christmas.
Those of us who ordered in June this means very little until we get on the build schedule.

But it did stimulate the board a little.

Just in from Ford:

"We are excited to announce that the official OK-To-Buy declaration has been achieved for the 22MY Maverick 2.5L Hybrid model and will now begin shipping to our Ford dealers."
This means that the Hybrid Maverick is now sellable (has passed all tests/etc) and can be shipped from factory to dealers/customers/etc.
that's great news! expecting mine in a few weeks!

Ok……
So let’s see who gets the first one.
When you sign on the dotted line, note the date and time. That will be the moment that you own the truck.
We’ll take your word for it.
Again……..
WHO WILL BE THE FIRST TO OWN A HYBRID MAVERICK?
(Maybe this should have its own thread!)

I don’t get it. I’ve read reviews of ownership and gas mileage etc. Haven’t some folks already received theirs? I ordered mine July 7 and my buddy the week before and not a peep from Ford.
All posts about ownership and gas mileage have been ecoboost. No hybrids have been sent from the plant.

Got the email confirmation that my XL hybrid is built. Delivery scheduled 12/15 to 12/21 in northern Colorado. More details in my signature. If all goes as planned, I should have my truck within the “fall” timeline, which would be amazing.
