I did something similar myself using Cosmoline within a couple weeks of taking delivery of mine in '23. Used black under the vehicle, and the standard/beige inside the fenders, or anywhere it might potentially drop out.

My last vehicle, a '12 Subaru Outback had a LOT of subframe rust, that I had to paint with rust converter, and wanted to try and prevent that from happening on the Maverick. We only get a couple of snows on average in Southern NJ, however I think they're a bit over ambitious with the salt when it does snow.

My brother decided to get a hard undercoating on a new Jeep in 2002. Sadly, very small abrasions occurred and the Jeep's frame is now quite compromised and it is a nightmare to repair as where there was moisture intrusion, it crept behind the hard coating and ruined the frame.
The body looks good (only the front fenders perforated from underneath, but it is a shame.
I have been using Krown rustproofing for decades and it works because it continues to creep and is re-applied about every year. I would NEVER use a product that hardens underneath. Ziebart was highly over-rated and because it was hard eventually allowed rust.
Corrosion is going to happen. You can't stop it once the electrons start moving and it is an almost unstoppable chemical reaction, but you can slow it. Electronic modules are another scam as you can't possibly connect the whole car to the unit.

I went with a luxury company. 10 years on the icon rocklear coating and undercoating. Ceramic window tint and tinted ppf on headlights and taillights.
Spent $6k but I am happy with the work

I'm saying that TruCoat. You don't get it, you get oxidation problems. It'll cost you a heck of a lot more than $500.

Sorry, had to put in the random movie quote. Nebraska is in the gray zone /w road salt on whether something like this is worthwhile for keeping a vehicle long term.

This, but I bet OP will be just fine.

It's Fluid Film for me once every Fall. By about year 4 or 5 it really isn't necessary anymore as there is a nice protectant of fluid film and dirt but I will still reapply.

did you notice a reduction in road noise?
Yes. It is an added benefit of this product but not one that the company promotes
