Simple 2025 XL AWD Hybrid 4K mods

Just wanting to document my build and mods on my new Maverick. Picked it up May 22, 2025. Due in for local dealer and no one claimed it so put my name on it. Very happy with the basic desert color basic truck. Having said that, I did order some Ford accessories when I purchased it. The Ford accessory list includes rubber mats, neoprene seat covers, matte black hood protector, safety kit, first aid kit, spray in bed liner, bed mat, and tailgate hinge lock. The hood protector was installed by dealer and when I went to pick it up, it was badly cracked. New one on order. Probably going to be a lot of Mabett and Maxzina parts.

Starting with the interior, I placed the the carpeted front floor mats and pushed them into the cavities behind the rear seat. Added a tool kit, vinyl ground cover, 12v air pump and then put first aid kit, emergency kit on top with velcro.

Added a console lid cover and note how the seat covers were installed by dealer..... Backwards! oops, hopefully that will get fixed when I get the hood protector.

Future things to get, Mabett flairs and maybe some Bronco Sport wheels. Next up bed and tailgate.

Addons to the truck bed.
Bed liner locally through the dealer. Nice job. Mabett tailgate strut. A little issue with the upper bolt for the strut to bed side attachment. Instructions call for moving the factory fender washer off of the cable stud and putting it behind the upper bracket. Unfortunately the washer does not come off easily or at all. Luckily I had a similar sized fender washer that fit and kept the correct offsets for the upper bracket. Having noted that Mabett offered a refund and stated they were working on an update.

Addons to the truck bed. Mabett tailgate strut.

Something is now missing there! Adding the strut shouldn't mean losing a tie-down point. I made a replacement tie-down for mine.

Works well and clears the new strut and no issues with the cable. Enjoyed making it enough that I keep making more. I have a thread here in the For Sale forum if anyone would like one. Don't lose a tie-down point!

I personally love the "Desert Sand" color. I find it to be elegant and comfortable. Not flashy. And it will hold up better in the hot sun and reflect more heat away from the inside; as all light colors do.

Agreed, for me it came down to the desert sand and and cactus gray colors. As a 'Storm', OIF, and OEF vet desert sand won out. As a bonus the black add-ons really stand out.

Agree as well. And my trim is a Lariat so it has the Smoked Truffle seating, which also goes very well with the Desert Sand exterior. My dealer contact says the delivery has been updated to July 20-27. So here's hoping I'm driving it by the end of next week.

I think I have used and bought almost every mod out there for my 25 Lariat. Latest things came in today. Hub wheel center covers... Just slapped over the Ford label.

Did the cheapy tie down solution I found in a thread a while back. Before I even bought the Maverick. It uses some 1000 lbs rated Amazon triangle shaped tie down anchors.

I also ordered some M8x1.25x25mm bolts. Amazon Bolts I have like 12 extra if someone nearby needs some. Before installing I did like 4 layers of PlastiDip to prevent some abrasion if the tie downs bounce around. The one mounted on the tail gate is fairly tight but does clear the edges by about 1/8". Plus the bed pad came was put in this last week.

I chose to only put 2 on each side wall as well.

Got my new plates and surrounds as well. Plus had to put a ribbon rack sticker on the back window too. Had to do the I love me wall on my truck.
