Everyone Thinks It’s a High-End Trim — But It’s Just This F150LEDs Kit!

I installed the @F150LEDs ambient lighting kit in my 2022 Ford Maverick, and the upgrade is insane. The lighting is super clean, subtle, and makes the truck feel like a top-tier trim. I’ve had multiple friends get in and ask “What package did you get?!” — but it’s all just this kit!

The cyan color matches the factory door lighting perfectly, so everything looks like it came from Ford. It even lights up under the center display, which adds a really sleek touch you don’t normally get in a Maverick. The footwell zones, rear seats, console, and under-dash areas are all covered, and the lighting is evenly distributed and bright (but not blinding).

Installation was simple. Everything’s pre-wired and labeled, no splicing needed. Took me about 45 minutes from start to finish.

The remote lets you change colors, brightness, and even sync the lights to your music. I mostly stick with cyan for that OEM look, but it’s fun to switch it up sometimes.

Honestly, this should’ve been a factory. If you want your Maverick to stand out at night, this is the move.

I know you are enthusiastic about it but IMO it looks like a teen aftermarket kit install.

I used ADA 1626 LEDs and put turquoise tape over them w/ 3.3k resistors and they came out much closer to what a factory ambient lighting kit would look like IMO. Still just a touch bright but pretty close to what I was trying for:

@t-FRED Thanks! I tapped into slot 3 in the interior fuse box — it’s a solid ignition-on power source, and installation was super straightforward.

@inline_five I totally get where you’re coming from — everyone’s got their own take on what factory-style ambient lighting should look like. Your setup looks clean! One thing I’ll say is the photos and videos don’t really capture the actual look of the lighting — in person, it’s much softer and more subtle. The brightness is fully adjustable too, and I’ve actually dimmed mine quite a bit since taking those pics.

Also, I do a lot of night driving, and I’ve noticed having a bit of ambient light inside the cabin actually helps keep me more alert and energized. It’s a small touch, but it really makes a difference on longer drives.

Looks okay but I hardly ever drive at night anymore so even have my dome light turned off most of the time. I'll have to look into getting the Maverick to stop turning on all the parking lights whenever I open the door too, even during the daytime.

Yes — the kit has a built-in memory function, so whatever color, brightness, or mode you had it on last will automatically come back on the next time you start the truck. Super convenient and definitely gives it that factory feel!

Extremely easy — just one click on the remote turns the entire system off. You can also dim it way down or switch to different modes with a single button. Super user-friendly!

I haven't missed any of the ambient light deletes that Ford did with possibly the exception being a small light where the wireless charging pad is
