Okay, been lurking and posting a bit for the past few months while I waited to get my truck.

Which was at first unfortunately held up by a dealer miscommunication (they gave me the wrong addressee for my checks-- while it only takes 15 minutes to apply and print out the first loan check from my credit union, apparently it takes *over a week* to get the underwriter to replace the check with a different recipient /eyeroll).

And then, I was literally an hour from the dealer on my way to pick up the truck when the airbag light stop/sale hit that morning, further delaying the truck.

And THEN, once I got it, I was committed to getting the front wrapped and the paint ceramic coated, so I didn't drive the truck for two more weeks while I waited for my appointment at the detailer, not wanting to risk paint chips.

All of that out of the way... finally got the truck back today, it's all good now! 2025 Lariat Hybrid in Eruption Green w/4K towing package, BAP, and sunroof. I've already made plenty of mods with a few more on the way, which I'll update this thread to share details in coming days.

But I just wanted to note that I'm now official!

Did you remove the black hood stickers? If so looks much better without them!

Actually, the detailer said they had to remove them to properly affix the paint protection film, so I let them do it. Otherwise, I probably would have kept the stripes, I didn't have strong feelings one way or the other.

Very nice. So you had a shop do what to the paint? And what wrap? Sorry I don't understand. My Mav is shipping as we speak and I should be able to pick it up in a week or so.

Nice, sounds like the exact same spec as mine although I didn't do any PPF or ceramic.

Looks great, I have the same truck with same options in black. Just broke 1000 miles and loving it. I have the same feelings about the hood stripes on one hand I think it cheapens the look of all black truck other hand their growing on me, going to think on it, but if I had the green they would be gone. GOOD LUCK

I put clear paint protection film (PPF) on the front of the truck-- bumper, hood, side panels-- to help protect against rock and debris chips. I also had the entire truck ceramic coated-- which is just a far fancier version of waxing, but one that really makes it much easier to keep the truck clean, and helps keep the paint looking fresh. Theoretically, the PPF ought to last up to 10 years for a garage-kept vehicle (although in my experience, 5-7 is more realistic), whereas the ceramic coating lasts up to 4 years with annual maintenance.

Unfortunately, neither are cheap-- especially not here in the D.C. area, where there is sadly a "luxury premium" for such high-demand services-- but the detailer did an excellent job (which is key for PPF-- I had a janky application of PPF on a since-departed Porsche Cayman, in just a couple of years it was peeling off the mirrors and bubbling in some spots).

Anyway, as this will be very much an "urban truck", with nothing more taxing than the occasional fire road when camping or fishing, so it's worth it to me to keep the truck looking its best for as long as possible-- AND minimizing my effort in keeping it clean.

On the occasion of my truck's first ever bath at the self-wash, time to rattle off all of the modifications I've made to the vehicle:

Ford Maverick Finally... My 2025 Maverick Lariat Hybrid. IMG_1648

-- Xpel paint protection film on the front, front side panels, hood, and mirrors
-- Xpel ceramic paint protection on the entire truck
-- BAK Revolver X4TS tonneau cover
-- AVS Bugflector II hood protector in smoke
-- Tailgate decal inserts (black)
-- Mabett center console organizer
-- Mabett mudflaps
-- Mabett fender flares
-- Mabett rear bumper cover plate
-- Mabett tailgate hole cover
-- Maxzina sill protectors
-- Maxzina sliding ratchets
-- Bedrug BedMat (the fuzzy carpet kind, just for the bed & tailgate, not the sides).
-- Screen protector
-- Arana tailgate shock
-- Tailgate tie down anchors compatible with a tailgate shock
-- Rilsen dashboard mat
-- ESI tailgate seal
-- SDPVorn Armrest cover

Still have to install these / planning to order:
-- Mabett underbody cavity shield (just gotta make time)
-- Mabett rear wheel splash covers
-- Mabett dog seat cover (eventually going on trips with the better half's pupper)
-- Black lug nuts. Will wait until my tire rotation to install them.

Bought them, but didn't like them:
-- Dawn Body Side Molding (very expensive mistake, but once I put them on, I realized I just didn't like them, it made the lines too busy. Just gotta be careful in parking lots!).
-- Maxzina door side trays. I kept the bottom trays, but the top trays that slot into the door handles are kinda pointless and I removed them.

Anyway... yeah, I kinda went crazy. But it's so fun making these trucks your own. Pretty sure it's the motorcycle rider in me; farkling is in my blood!
