Camping out of my Maverick “Tejas”

Went camping last weekend on a creek upstate NY, and had to travel down an incredibly muddy road with cliff edges on both sides, and my maverick “Tejas” was a champ! FX4 package showing off…Mud/ruts mode was perfect and my skid plate worked like a charm 3 times. If i had a sedan or regular SUV, id have been in trouble for sure.

Used a backseat suv pitman blow up mattress (not for tall guys or long sleepers, I sleep curled anyway), Amazon window black out screens, pre cooked food, foldy bike, camping pelican for the essentials and a cooler of beer. Sat the chair in the creek, cranked tunes, hot sun, cold beers. Cheers! - Oliva

Looks like an awesome time. I spent a lot of time down at the river as a kid. Also, get those beers out of direct sunlight!

1. I named my maverick Tejas, cause Dusty Hill was holding a carton of maverick cigs in his hand the first time I met him.
2. Those beers were consumed before the sun could penetrate those hops.

I like the case, good planning there!
I sleep in the back of mine, when shopping it was important to me that I could fit (with tailgate open) along with my 78" long backpacking pad.
